This is with the rumored Abe trade to the Lions and an additional trade down. Not quite sure how the value chart works but if I'm off please correct me.

Jets trade John Abraham and their 3rd rounder #68 to Detroit in exchange for the #9 pick in round one.

Jets then trade #9 pick to Denver for #22 and #29

    1st round

#4 Vernon Davis: TE Maryland I know not a real need but possibly the best athlete in the draft. Has great hands and incredible speed could be a serious weapon. Why no Cutler A) because I don't buy into the hype and B) I think he will already be drafted.

#22 Antonio Cromartie: CB Florida State, maybe a reach but after running a 4.37 at the combine with his size likely would be gone before our 2nd round pick. Some concerns with his knee but might be too good to pass up. Potential top 10 pick next year if he returned to school.

#29 Nick Mangold: C The Ohio State University, best center in the draft.
With Mawae gone this is a must.

    2nd round
#35 Marcus McNeil: OT Auburn 6'9 340 , could be our starting RT this year and for years to come. Just a huge player with a good combination of size and ability.

    3rd round

    Comp for Lamont Jordan

Kevin Boothe: OG Cornell, not a dummy that is for sure. Actually has good size , speed and is mean. Wants to own the guy on the other side of the line. Has alot of upside with the only downside being he played in the Ivy-League

    4th round
#100 Babtunde Oshinowo : DT Stanford, likely won't fall this far as he would be a great fit in the 3-4 defense. Has lots of size 6-2 , 320 and would take on 2 blockers at a time. Wishful thinking on my part

#116 (from KC) Dontrelle Moore: RB New Mexico, likely not a starter but would be a good 3rd fown back. Has decent size 5-10 and 210. Saw this guy play live on a few occasins and he will be a good situational back in the NFL.

    5th round
#132 Ingle Martin: QB Furman, With Pennington likely coming back there is no need to take a QB high in the draft. Transfered to Furman from Florida. Also played punter, kicker and WR in college as well. Booted a 70 yard punt while at Florida.... quite an interesting prospect.

    Comp pick for Kareem McKenzie
Frostee Rucker: DE USC, a tweener type player, could project to DE or OLB but lacks size you want only 255 but is a great open field tackler and has a great burst. saw lots of this guy at USC. A great athlete but maybe lacking a position. Has a great name too

    6th round
#164 Brian Iwuh: OLB/S Colorado Too small to be a great LB and too slow to be a safety, is a playmaker though. Might make a real nice project player. Will get drafted based on potential

    7th round

#201 from Detroit (Jon McGraw) Freddie Roach: ILB Alabama, lacks ideal size and speed but could be a good special teams player. Can hit though and brings it every game.

    comp pick for Jason Ferguson
Jay McCareins: CB Princeton, likely a Nickel corner at best but is good at finding the endzone when making an int. Jay is also a good KR and PR. Will make a team just based on that. Brother of Justin...

As good as Davis could be, there would be a riot if we went with a TE at #4. That's way too high for us or anybody else to address TE.

There is no way Denver trades both of their 1st rounders to move up to #9, unless mario Williams is available (which he won't be).

Rich....Interesting Mock!!! We both seem to like alot of the same prospects.

Davis at # 4 is interesting.......I doubt a TE would ever go that high, I believe Winslow was the highest drafted TE a few years ago at #6. I see Vernon Davis going somewhere from 7-10. If the Jet's stay at #4 and don't draft a QB...I'm going for Hawk or Mario Williams.

Drafting a CB in day one, since we should have an extra selection on Day One with a John Abe trade, is IMO, vital. Antonie has tons of potential.

If we do acquire a late 1st rd pick, Mangold has to be the choice........Steelers and Saints are 2 possible Teams that would love Mangold. Mangold isn't going to make it to the Jets in Rd 2.

Marcus McNeil falling into rd 2 would be a blessing.

Oshinowo is one of may favorite defensive players in this draft.

Martin is an interesting QB! I never saw his play at Furman, but watched him closely at the combine and he looked very polished. Since he was recruited by a big time school, then transfered, he may have a big upside.

Frostee Rucker is another player that always seemed to be wrecking havoc in the opponent's backfield. Anyone who watched USC games, had to notice Frostee making plays. Won't be a fulltime player, but a good situational pass rusher.

I would have gone for a WR somewhere in day 2.

    OveraLL...NICE EFFORT!!!!!

Realistically I think we're going to need more that two late first rounders. The value doesn't add up. Denver's second makes the trade even.

I don't really like the way the draft goes, but I have other ideas in my mind already so it'd be hard to change my mind. That being said though I wouldn't be disappointed with this draft. I just don't think Vernon Davis is going to be worth it and we really don't improve the defense at all in this version considering that Cromartie is highly overrated.

I think that if we do trade Abraham we have to add someone else in the box in the early rounds.

Like the Ingle Martin pick too. His throws were pinpoint at the combine and he seems like a smart kid.

Marcus McNeil is a LT not a RT and if he were to fall in the second round to us, which I think is very unlikely because the Texans need O-Line help very badly, would truly be amazing since I consider him the best complete LT in this draft.

If we stay at 4 and we do get #9 I would go Brick and LenDale White.

even if he's a LT, wouldn't you think he could convert easily in comparison to say, Adrian Jones who's only 6'4 295? Mcneil is at least 6'7 337, more than enough size to get a good push on anyone, whether it be 4-3 or 3-4 on the opposing defense.

I'd be very dissapointed if that happened, if we got the #9 pick, we should keep it. Adding two top 10 picks to our offense would really help our team. I would take Cutler 4 DeAngelo 9, but they can go Davis/Justice/VY (if Cutler goes 3) at the 0thy pick. Then address the O-Line rounds 2 and 3.

Don't trade the #9, two top ten picks would allow us alot of flexibility to draft 2 studs. Also, vernon davis might be available at that #9 pick, so we could use the #4 for more pressing needs....

Most years I would agree with you, but not this year. This is a really deep draft. We need as many day 1 picks as we can get, so the new FO can build this team however they want.

Rich, you left out the comp pick for Becht. Kareems will probably in the 4th round and Becht's will be the 5th.
