as I said at the time and many times since - this team should've traded for Alex Smith when he was available - is he great? no. would he be an enormous improvement over what we have? Absolutely. yet again this franchise shows that the average idiot fan on a forum would do a better job of running things.
Idzik has to go to because look at it this way, this guy has shown NOTHING for anyone to believe he knows how to pick/sign players. This offseason the Jets will be in a perfect position to just start over completely: top draft pick, money to spend, new head coach, new GM; New Identity; new era in Jets football. Next off season is crucial, Idzik is going to have to spend money, he has to now, he doesnt have a choice, and the thing is, he cant just hand out one year contracts like he has done recently. So lets put an end to Idzik before he hands out big contracts to set this franchise back further, lets stop him from investing a first round pick in a bust QB, JUST END IT ALL. Change the logo, change the Jerseys, change the QB, change the identity, change GM, change the head coach.

The only thing Rex has proven in his six years here as the head coach is how bad his offense continues to be in turning the ball over game in and game out. Everyone needs to go in my opinion because this organization needs a makeover.
I guess, at this point, I now focus on the possibilities of who should come in and replace both Idzik and Ryan...let's start at the GM level... Any ideas?
Is there a way to Like this thread x 1000? There really is only about 5 players on this team that should stay. Wilkerson, Richardson, Amaro, D Davis and maybe one or two more. Otherwise the entire coaching staff, scouting dept. and FO besides Woody needs to get shitcanned. This franchise needs to start fresh with strong football leadership at the top. Period.
Woody needs to call Polian. Pay him to consult on who should be the next architect of this franchise. That's the first step. Obviously Woody should also ask Polian if he wants the job. Bring this franchise some stability.

John idzik isn't going anywhere. this season? its not enough for him to be fired. all he's done is leave himself with one great big out in the form of 10s of millions of dollars saved in cap space. he should be given an opportunity to FIX to the teams problems. HE WILL be given that opportunity, bank on it.
