Trading for Harvin was an act of desperation by Idzik and a horrible move. We wasted $6.5M in cap space we could of used next year to win maybe 1 more game this year when the season is already over. Trading for Harvin will not save the season, get up to the playoffs or save Rex's job. What he does do is get some heat off Idzik, make a 1-6 team relevant and make this team front page news. Just another ploy from the circus known as the New York Jets.

The sweetest revenge Harvin could take against Seattle would be to play
great the rest of this season. Be the player they hoped they were getting
from Minnesota, but for the Jets.

I was thinking that this wasn't a bad acquisition until I saw the brutal contract. In terms of talent, I thought we got good value for what we gave up. However we have other problems with the team that may cause us not to realize the potential of this trade.

Like the OP suggested, if this were Randy Moss he were traded to the patriots, we'd be hearing about how ingenious the move was.

The cap issue isn't a big deal right now and Harvin wont save the season.

Not a lot to get excited about.
