What are the damn conditions? We better not surrender a 1st or a 2nd rounder here...This fool is never healthy. Dumbass Idzik once again late to the party...Seriously, this move to keep the few fans that are thinking of buying tickets. I imagine everyone wants to sell their PSLs
Don't get this trade - a guy who is literally always hurt and won't help you this year. This reeks of Idzik fearing both him and Rex are getting fired, and he is trying to salvage 7/8 wins to save his job.
It may turn out there was drama, but I think this is more due to the fact that Russell Wilson is about to get a $17+ million per year deal this offseason. Winning a SB gives a QB a ton of leverage. On top of that, KJ Wright, Malcolm Smith, and Byron Maxwell are all going to be FA, and Seallt'e cap was pretty tight.
not completely off the board. Im pumped about finally having 2 great WR but you can almost never have enough playmakers. Peyton has Welker, DT, Juluis, Sanders and he is the best qb in the league..... Geno Ivory/Johnson Decker, Harvin, Cooper, Kerley Amaro, CUmberland now that's tempting, then draft a bunch of CB, tbh we dont even have that many needs, i know its like were 1-6 and seems like we have a ton of needs but to me all we need are WRs, CBs , then OLINE and LB depth
Yup this is pretty much all that needs to be said. When a team is in a position like the Jets are you need to take chances. They took one on Holmes. And even though people bash it, it kinda worked out. Nearly got us to a Superbowl. I look at this move as more of like a Braylon-type trade. He came with issues too. People dont realize this is the NFL. Your not gonna get a choir boy who catches 100 passes a year. Those guys wont be available.
I can see why you think that but he also does game recaps for every game and runs collegefootballmetrics which a great scouting site. He's wrong sometimes but he's better than anyone else out there imo. And comon dude, the childish ones were the Geno fans emailing him ridiculous insults. Lol. Everything he wrote in that article has been true btw.
Conditional draft pick in 2015, the highest it can go is a 2nd rounder. If he doesn't do jack shit it's a 4th rounder. Prob performance related. Very questionable move, I agree.
the ability to get out of this unscathed maters most I suppose. can he be cut if he fails and what do we lose if he doesn't work out? what are the terms of the conditional pick? thats all that matters win one wonders of this is a good move or not.
You think what he's getting is him being paid like a top tier WR? You might wanna wait and see what Dez and D.Thomas get this offseason before making that statement. And were still gonna take care of Mo Wilk. WE STILL HAVE A TONNNNNN OF CAP SPACE.
If this kid couldn't toe the line with the Seahawks, how the hell is this circus of franchise going to keep him in check? Two teams have dropped Harvin during his prime.
Wow. Now THIS is a shocker. For all those wishing the team spent more of that money, here's a (quite late) addition. Can't say this doesn't excite me a bit. His salary is non-guaranteed after this season. If he's a wash, he's gone. If he performs well, this could be an awesome move - potentially dangerous weapon on offense that this team is sorely lacking. A healthy Harvin could make for a legitimate group of receivers. As for the timing, I bet this was something that the FO inquired about earlier, but due to his injuries and the season he's turned in so far, I guess this was the time to buy low. I'm sure his price tag was much higher at the start of the season. Can't wait to see how this turns out
I look at the receivers being available in the draft and compare it to Percy Harvin and I'm not all that excited about this trade. Hopefully he stays healthy.
