you have no idea what he does behind closed doors. That's not rex's style and his style has worked up until this year.
It should be his style instead of falling in love with every player he coaches. He says Geno is his guy after he gives games away. His style hasn't got his team into the playoffs for a few years now, i don't think it works

missing the playoffs sucks but w/ the rosters we have had to even be competitive he has done a great job. I want to win more than anyone, I just don't throw people away at the first sign of trouble. the average fan does that.
It's not the first sign of trouble, though. The team is regressing and has fallen a long way since 2010.
but they took a step forward last year. we did get worse in 2011 then 2012 but the needle was pointing up last year and coming into this year.
True, but this year looks really, really bad so far. We were supposed to be an improved 8-8/9-7ish borderline playoff type of team, not an unmitigated disaster. The owner actually explicitly said before the season that 8-8 wouldn't be good enough. It's still early, but this level of play is totally unacceptable.They better turn it around, or Rex is gone. Simple as that.
That's like poetry man. We have shitty talent and poor coaches. It looks like we hardly ever practice, let alone actually install gameplans directed toward specific opponents. All Geno was going to learn Saturday night was a realization about how badly he was about to get his ass kicked the next day. I might have chosen to go see Guardians of the Galaxy instead too.
ha, I agree. I said in the game thread yesterday that it looks like we didn't practice one minute all week and that it looked like we watched not one second of film....little did I know that I was right about the film!
Sad thing is, it's not like this type of performance is unusual for the Jets. At least a couple of times a season the last few years. I mean, how the fuck is it possible in the NFL today not to throw for 100 yards? You have to go out of your way and try to be that inept.
At least he's consistent...misses receivers, misses team meetings, misses the point of what makes a good quarter back..can't wait for him to miss many more games
