This is probably the wrong thread but we should absolutely be bringing him in. I guess the question is who would be the right guy to cut for him ? Maybe Owusu or even Nelson but not Salas.

In all likelihood, this is just another undrafted guy that looked good because of playing in New England, and he reached his ceiling, and it wasn't good enough for them. 9/10 we bring him in and he just gets cut within a month anyway. I'll take the flier, but I don't really care.

Pats cut Dobson too and we could have an entirely new lineup with Decker, Dobson, Thompkins and Graham :D

Jets should really look into Dobson. Big young receiver, adds another big guy to their receiving core. Take a flyer on Thompkins too, fuck it. What do they got to lose?

I guess take a shot on him. If you sort through enough garbage you'll probable find some money, you're just gonna smell like shit while you do it.

I think he's been a victim of poor OLine and QB play and McDaniels being a megalomaniac when it comes to offense. I'd rather have him than David Nelson personally speaking, there's more upside. All Nelson has is chemistry with Geno and experience in the offense.

Owusu offers special team versatility at least. Same with Salas.

If Thompkins would come on board, its because of David Nelson who is already hurt. But I don't think they let go of Nelson for the aforementioned reason. No idea about his impact on the locker room either.

EDIT: I sadly forgot TJ Graham is on the roster. This is the easiest move in the world.

100% I'd be interested if I'm the Jets.

Because the Pats need WR's about as badly as we do and this guy wasn't good enough for them? So you figure they wouldn't be cutting a guy that was any good, I don't know offhand of any quality players they just flat gave away.

They do some odd things... Moss, Branch, Welker.
Not saying this kid is any good, but players who don't buy into the BB game plan are cast off. Some over money, but not all.

Moss was finished when they dumped him and Branch wasn't all that great outside NE. Welker left as a FA although clearly Bill's ego was a factor with that.

Comnsidering the fact that the Jets just signed two FA Wrs who could suit up today and are in need of Wrs it's a good possiblity. Esp. with us playing NEP in the near future. We all know the history here of signing players cut from that team and visa versa before they play each other. Also last year we did sign Zach Sudfeld after NEP cut him (around this time last year) and he's still on the roster. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
