The Jets are 2-2, not flashy but given the what was perceived as a no talent 4-12 team I'll take it. With that said_ I am reading these posts I cannot believe what I am reading- This my fellow Jet fans is a different team and new era. Those those of you who can't see this then I can only assume you haven't been a Jet fan for too long. While the Jets might not make the playoffs, regardless this organization is going in the right direction. There are playmakers on this team-(Coles, Cotchery, Miller, Smith, to name a few.) As far as not taking the points, probably should have taken the points but this goes along with Mangini's guts. I bet no one questioned the on-side kick. So question Mangini's decisions all you want or question the draft as you please. But remember this: in a year or two the Jets will be real contenders, I'll say it again REAL CONTENDERS.
Maybe....if they are smart AND lucky in the draft and free agency. Also, Miller makes plays, but he also gives them up. He giveth, and taketh away. It's no guarantee that experience will do the trick for him either. Sometimes guys never get it.....especially corners. Look at Ahmad Carroll.
Really? What, with a new GM and a new head coach... you're saying this is a new era? Gee, I never thought of that -- I'm going to take notes on your posts from now on, cause I'm clearly missing the boat on this stuff.
Hey Devteam, if you had half a brain you would get what I am saying, the Jets perception has changed, a hole. Think before you decide to be a idiot
Actually aside from 1 or 2 guys, I think the aquisitions they've made this year were very good. These guys know football. They're not out there rolling blind dice. When they do something there's a very good rationale behind it. Personally I think going for it on 4th was very good. It would have given the colts a very long field to work with had the ball not been intercepted, and if they did score, or got an interference call it would have given them 1st and goal from the 1. The play and execution weren't to my likings. You really need max protect in that situation. The line broke down and that's what screwed 'em. Had that block been made, Chad might have even taken it home himself. I like what I see. Very smart football.
I have to say I'm very impressed with the way this team is playing. Has anyone noticed that we seem to have MOST if not ALL our timeouts in the first half and the 2ND HALF of the game. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THAT has happened.
Just watching the games, while still nail biting, there is a different feeling. Good things are to come
I could say the same thing to you for pointing out an obvious fact that every single person on this board has understood for the last 8 months.
