Why do we always have an OC that misues our talent?

going .500 last year was astonishingly lucky. We easily could have been 5-11

Would like to see them feature Amaro and Ivory much more.

So can't the same thing be said in reverse as we've lost by a touchdown in each loss with no help from the referees whatsoever? Unlucky breaks? The losses aren't on the refs but they certainly haven't helped.

There's so many factors in the NFL it's not as cut and dry as in other sports where in say basketball if a team shoots a poor percentage they're most likely going to lose.

People who think this is Martys fault clearly don't get it,go back and look at every redzone play this season or every offensive passing down, there's almost always someone open, occasionly there isn't but there usally is.The game still looks to fast for Geno a lot of the time and he always seems to pass up the guranteed first down and trys to go for the big play instead .This isn't Martys fault at all,you can't see a lot of the problems during the game .Geno just isn't a smart QB ,he should take a small yellow bus to games by himself.

Ive herd that by design Geno is one read and then looking to throw a checkdown by design. So as much as you might think so its partially Martys fault.

Agreed, unfortunately the "advanced" stats that showed that also showed the Jets as an extremely unlucky and lucky team. One of the lowest fumble recovery rates in the NFL, but did WAYYYYY better than their pythagorean expectation. They were a puzzle last year

lets see Rex has never had a good OC and offense has always been bad when Rex has been here

Maybe its not the OCs maybe it is Rex....just a thought

So you would've fired Payton when the Saints D sucked?

Because we have a coach who has no idea how to integrate the offense.

    Why do we always......

Why do we always have a bad OC?
Why do we always have a below average head coach?
Why does our GM suck all the time?

It goes on and on. Look in the mirror for a change. We have excuses to blame coaching and management because we haven't had an above average QB in years. Mark Sanchez, while many loved, was below average. Now Geno Smith, that many love, is below average. It just goes on and on.

Fans will never see satisfaction on a team until they are getting good play at the QB position. You win and die by your QB. If we had an above average QB, it could be argued that we would have possibly won a super bowl recently and likely have been in the playoffs every year. Would you still be complaining about the coaching staff then?

Take a look at this for a second:

In the last 5 years here are what our QB numbers look like -

    80 TD / 90 INT / 69 Rating

That's fuckin terrible. Blame the coaching staff all you want, but eventually you have to look in the mirror.

Give Rex Brees and give Payton the Sanchez, Tebow, Smith trifecta...does the situation change?

Marty is caught in a connundrum. If he cuts Smith loose Smith turns the ball over too often, makes dopey plays, gets hit running the ball. If he mixes too much run plays in v. pass plays, the D keys on that and blunts the run. And if he simplifies the O for Smith, he also simplifies it for the opposing D.

The problem is Smith, not Marty.

    Yup.

I like Smith, but it's incredible how different the conversation would be if Smith and the refs had made some different decisions.
All of a sudden our coaching staff would've been just fine and the roster young and filled with up and coming talent.

That FIRE EVERYONE!1!!! mentality so many fans have is ignorant.
