So what about Wilkerson? Didnt he get helped off the field? If he's hurt this defense will be a shitshow.
They deserve better than this. Protecting an offense that gives up three turnovers. Rex probably doesn't give a shit. All he knows is defense, like his dad.
Nah, the second TD was not on them. First of all, we muff a punt after forcing a nice 3 and out with the Bears backed up. So, now Chicago suddenly has the ball in our territory and then Walls gets called for one of the worst PI calls I have ever seen to put the ball on the 7 yard line.
While I agree the future is bright on D..it's not just a reliable #2 CB that is missing. Both Pace & Harris can't go on forever on the strong side..and a speedy "bender" would work wonders opposite Coples in the pass rush. I'd also like to see Landry upgraded. Perhaps that falls on Allen but there are situations where he becomes a liability at safety. Rex has stated that Josh Bush is being groomed behind Landry..so maybe that's why he has stuck around & that's the plan.
The main issue I consistently have with Rex's defenses is the inability to consistently get critical stops. Letting the Bears go on that time-consuming drive and get a field goal right after we had cut it to 5 was disappointing. But then again, they kept them out of the endzone and gave the offense another chance.
More props to nothing. Another bullshit thread, another bullshit cool-aid drinker. Top Defense? This D, AGAIN was unable to come up in the clutch. This D, AGAIN shot itself in the foot. Now, don't get me wrong that PI call for the 2nd TD was bullshit, but this D is overrated. How do you expect to win games when your D can't make huge stops.?
Milliner was god awful most of last season and so far this season. I wouldnt count on him being solid even when healthy with such a small sample size. This team need a play maker at safety, better CBs, and a speed rusher to be elite.
