Still a lot of time let in the season. For all we know we win the Super Bowl....

Start with the draft and build up. If we could get a great QB, good O-Line, average WR/RB/TE. And average defense... We might just win 12 games a year (see pats last year).

I'm not a troll. I've had this account since like pre-2000 when this site was created. I just don't post a lot because there is usually a group of 50-100 posters or so that throw away any ones opinions that aren't in that regular cast of 50-100.

Legit thought though. Miami decided to build up their defense first then their offense. We have been always patchworking our team the last 5 years, but something has always happened which hasn't let us scout the college talent to become elite on offense. I think it's been more timing of contracts etc that have caused this. I love rex, and Geno held composure well, we just lack elite WRs right now and a true pass catching TE.

Become a balanced team. Focusing too much on one side leaves too many holes

I say we focus on offense and defense, and have good special teams too.

    I totally agree.

What's lamer is that it says I'm a new member, yet I just logged in and I had a unread message from 2005... Lol

I thought this post was about maybe the Jets being more of a balanced team. With the way the D let GB back in the game today, we may need more of a high octane offense to stay in games.

I don't agree with your method but I do agree with your thread title. The rules are geared towards the offense scoring points. That's what fans want.

Without decker our offense kinda showed they had to rebalance themselves a little bit. The timeout was unfortunate. Geno IS progressing, and I think he is our QB for the immediate future. I'm hoping we draft WR talent rather than FA's. Besides contract issues with Decker, Denver might have know his physicality was on the decline (ala hamstring).

Ivory, Johnson, and Powell are progressing well. Maybe we see more of Amaro stepping up, but with Geno holding composure with everything slipping away, we gotta get him some patriots style WRs. Who cares if they are from Div 2 or 3 college, as long as they play tough, catch, and run disciplined routes Geno could take us places.
