Ask someone not a Jet fan who Mo Wilkerson is and they MAY know his name. I know you guys love him, but you are way overvaluing this guy. He's a good player, no where in the vicinity of great.

    Lmfao!!

Yeah, I'm sure tons of football fans don't know who Muhammad Wilkerson is.

You're a fuckin joke. Go route for your redundant franchise who hasn't been in a playoff game for over a decade and get the fuck out of here. Your logic is almost as great as the Bills chances of making the playoffs.

I guess I will fall prey to your trolling.
Wilkerson is a proven top 10 3-4 DE, probably around top 7-8. The only 3-4 DE with name recognition is going to be Watt. The average Joe watching a game could not name another DE not playing for the team he roots for so your post is really of no value. Right up there with the rest of your useless posts.

I don't think anybody's saying he's as good as Watt, but he's up there in the top 5 and should be paid accordingly. I wouldn't say Watt's worst season is better than Wilkerson's best though. Wilkerson's best had double the sacks of Watts worst, although some other categories were comparable. Wilkerson seems to get better every year. 2013 for Watt saw his production drop big time. Granted it wasn't all his fault, but he went from 20.5 sacks to 10.5.

I like Mo and think he is a very good player, but you get paid and recognized by stats. Here's his:

    2011: 3 sacks and 49 tackles.
    2012: 5 sacks and 69 tackles.
    2013: 10.5 sacks and 63 tackles.

To me, that's no where near the production of the other top defensive ends and tackles in the league. He will have to put up another year of double digit sacks and then you can look at him getting a top contract. But to say that he is automatically there right now, based on these last 3 years, no way IMO.

There's also pass defenses, stops for loss, forced fumbles, picks, etc. There aren't too many 3-4 DEs that get 10+ sacks. Plus he plays all over the line, not just on the outsides. I'd agree if he was a 4-3 DE, or didn't take so many snaps at DT.
