I think we are super bowl thirsty fans which makes it difficult for some of us to stomach Idzik' s method of building a team. Most of our friends are either Pittsburgh, Giants, or Patriot fans therefore we want what they have. Now. I truly believe Idzik will set us up for long term success. Years of playoffs and even Super bowls. What do you think?

Not sure why there is so much trust in someone who has never actually done anything.

I think the fact that we were so close four years ago with completely different personnel leads fans to believe that all teams can be assembled that quickly into contenders. It makes some sense as you can load up a team with free agents and if they magically hit on their draft picks that year then you can have a successful season.

Idzik is taking the farm approach that he learned in Seattle and watched San Fransisco, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and even New England do in the past. Draft players and develop them into formidable players so that you can set your team up for maintained success that also allows the team to pick and choose years to target big name free agents and really make a run at a championship. These seasons don't sacrifice the long term success of the team because there is already a core built to maintain success while essentially picking and choosing your battles with free agency.

People forget that next year yields a free agent class that includes Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin, Demaryius Thomas, Reggie Wayne, Wes Welker, Torrey Smith, Dez Bryant, Brian Orakpo, CJ Spiller, Demarco Murray, Shane Vereen, Steven Ridley, Jermaine Gresham, Julius Thomas, Jordan Cameron, Doug Free, Michael Roos, Mike Iupati, Justin Houston, Chris Harris, Derek Cox, Tramon Williams, Carlos Rogers, Byron Maxwell, Rahim Moore, and Devin McCourty to name some.

Perhaps Idzik will target another big name in free agency next year specifically in the wide receiver or pass rushing linebacker department along with another corner.

Patient has nothing to due with Idzik signing a corner in free agency,we currently sit 21 mill under the cap and a massive problem at corner that could have easily been avoided. You act like this is part of some masterplan enough already,Idzik screwed up he knows it,the football world knows it ,and you need to know it to.This isn't just "part of the process" Idzik dropped the ball

I'll note that now Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and New England are all teams that have sustained success and are generally playoff contenders every year. None of these teams target big name free agents and generally keep it all in house outside of one or two big name signings. You can argue that New England is the only team that has a quarterback considered to be elite.

When's the last time you saw Pittsburgh sign a big name in free agency? They've had three losing seasons since 1992 and that's with poor corner play and a patchwork offensive line the past five or so seasons. But they run their system and a successful program.

Patient has nothing to do with a corner you consider valuable getting signed by another team and then you shit yourself on the forum about the Front Office,

Patient also has nothing to do with someone questioning your opinion and then you stating matter of factly that you are top 10 in LIKES!

I didn't say they properly develop every player they get but do you watch the games? Do you realize that virtually our entire defense is homegrown outside of Landry and Calvin Pace who was signed an eternity ago?

It's like people don't even watch the games and we've been 4-12 for the past 15 years.

A guy has to start somewhere. What's he done to make you not trust him so far? Not sign DRC or Aquib Talib?

I've actually brought it up twice (not ALWAYS like you are pretending, prove otherwise), the first time you didn't respond.

Now you have responded, without actually addressing that you bragged about it. I don't even know the rest of your posts, that's the only one that I remember you making, just because it was such a douchey bitch comment, and the only reason I remember it is because you are such a douchey bitch.

Fair enough. Can't argue with that.

It's definitely to early to really judge Idzik. So far I think he's done a good job and has this team going down the right path but the results on the field have to back that up.

This is seriously a poor attempt to come back. You've been acting like a douche for months, can't you compose yourself and act like it was an intelligent effort? This is a childlike post.

Funny thing, a couple of days ago was my birthday. But your guess was off by a lot. Why does my age even matter? Unless yours is coming into play?

Seems like age matters a lot to you. I wonder why.
