The thing that sucks is now we lost our best chance to evaluate him during the Giants game. He'll be going against backups on Thursday presuming he plays so he will be a question mark anyway for week 1 from a talent perspective (putting aside the obvious laundry list of injuries).
The dude is like a 9 year vet; there's nothing to evaluate at this point. The FO and coaching staff should know what they have.
I know it's pre-season but doesn't it send a pretty bad message to keep this guy around? He bailed on his team with no prior notice. What if he does that before a regular season game? Even if he doesn't some people are going to be pretty pissed off about it, they are supposed to be a family and he bailed on them. Maybe they all know the reason now and can forgive him for whatever he did but it's still a pretty shitty thing to do to your team.
Yup. Patterson doesn't have the guts or courage to throw a live ball on the turf. He will never know what it means to play like a jet
This is one of the weirdest things i have ever seen. I am guessing it has to be a mental issue. Maybe his girlfriend stabbed him before the game.
They said his agent reported that he had nothing physically wrong with him. Maybe his girlfriend told him he wasn't Darrelle Revis, and he believed her.
A Dolphins fan on Twitter has been seriously predicting the Jets will go 1-15. He cites this Patterson news as more proof.
Discovery Channel reported several Sasquatch sightings in the area. Wonder if they could be involved.
i think they should bring in terrell thomas this week and start him on thursday, guy was talented when healthy for the giants. Just released by the seahawks....
I really don't give a shit why he wasn't there, I just want to know if he's going to be playing for us this year. He is a cheap cut so if it comes to that we can pick up Terrell Thomas but if he's sticking around we have no need for Thomas.
One rumor I read on another board (supposedly the poster knows someone who works with the Jets) was that it was a panic attack.
