Actually heard his name today, and it wasn't the PA system informing him that his lunch order was ready!!!

He had a huge tackle in the backfield near the goal-line that forced indy to kick the field goal

Looked good on a few plays. Got run over on a few others. But some good plays is better than the zero good plays he usually offers.

Well, DeWayne does look good next to shitty Diapers!

  10. All game long, on the long run gains I was hoping to be able to blame the Drob at NT situation. But everytime I watched the replay he stood up his man and did his job. He also did a great job of getting off of blocks and being disruptive. Looks like he is one player starting to make a positive transition to the new D.

We need our Lb's to stop overpursuing and buy into the "read and react" mentality.

He didn't look good...he looked inconsistent. It's easy to notice when he bursts through the O-Line and makes a play, but you also have to realize how often he gets pushed around, allowing RBs to pick up big gains, too. If he can play at a high level consistently, the run defense should be worlds better than it is now.

I was hating on him early whn we were making dominic rhodes look like Jim Brown but he did end up having a pretty good game.

Calm down now. I said his name was mentioned. So was the CBS executive producer.

He made a few god plays, but overall I was still let down. They were running it directly at him on most of their successful runs.

He did a reasonable job I guess. We really need a NT. When Rhodes and Addai run over you like they did it's a problem.

All that junk aside I am super proud of the way we played. All of my buddies (Giants fans) were screaming the whole game it was great. Here's to another great game in Jax!

The Jets as well as anyone with a pulse knows that DRob is not a prototypical NT in a 3-4 scheme, but he as well as the rest of the D are still getting a feel for this style of defense. It will likely take the entire season for the players to show true command of their roles and the nuances of the the schemes. DRob will appear better as the entire D gets better. Hard to see against Manning and the Colts but the D is improving week by week and what more can you ask for at this point.

Dewayne played his best game as a Jet today. That is why he was in on more plays than usual. He was the reason for Ellis's sack. He stood up his lineman and he good very good push. It seems he does a lot better against quicker and trickier lineman than he does against the big bruising offensive lineman.

We have so many holes in our defense. Where do you begin? Our problems are much more than D-Rob, and yeah, he did okay today. We have a little pressure (Ellis did well in that). We have no secondary. Rhodes sucks, and he kicked our butts on too many occassions.

Mangini says he likes the team to finish games. Today, they failed miserably. Every time we had the lead, we gave it right back to them. In that respect, our D was pathetic. You could say that the team needs to make adjustments for next week, but there are just way too many adjustments to fix this problem so soon.

It was a good game, but we should have held a lead, and we should have won :(
