I only saw the first Drive. I didn't know there was a second. That Ryan Gosling is a damn attractive fellow.
I don't think anybody was trying to claim that Geno was a better QB than Vick, but Geno is the future and Vick is the past. We brought him in to be a mentor.

You have one thread telling us how Geno and Vick sucked and that based on last night it was obvious that Simms should start. You have another thread telling us how Geno sucks and Vick should start. People and their agendas.
I wasn't at all impressed with Vick on that touchdown drive. He benefited greatly from 2 personal fouls by the Colts which gave him 15 yards EACH. That's a 30 yard handicap, sheesh. He completed 3 passes, all dumpoffs (RB checkdown, wide open 3 yard stick to Amaro, the play action FB flat play that's for some reason always open). He had a drop by Johnson but he led him right into a defender anyway. He overthrew Ivory on a flat route. I was very impressed by the 15 yard run on 3rd down and thought he showed great burst. But I don't understand why people are touting how well he ran last night; that was his only good run. Since when is a 4 yard run on 3rd and 8 in the red zone a good play? If it was the regular season, the drive probably stalls there. It's not like he played poorly, but he did absolutely nothing to change the QB situation. Just another example of Jets fans overreacting to something very little. But man, to 1 play in the preseason?
Although I will say one thing about Vick: I was there watching the game in person, and he goes through his reads EXTREMELY quickly. He's experienced and you can tell he's comfortable in the pocket and very good at reading the defense and going through his progressions before the rush gets to him. That's an area where he's much better than Geno. Though he might do it to a fault. At points it looks like he discounts some of his options too quickly and is too willing to take off with the football. I know that's been a criticism of him in the past.
