Slavery. Or maybe it's the way Cleavon Little was treated in Blazing Saddles.

Not surprised that San Francisco is the most hated team in the NW. Seattle is the team in portland. Surprised the Jets are hated more in that area other than the Giants.

I read somewhere that before the start of the AFL, a lot of Red Sox fans in the New England area were Giants fans. Once the Pats were formed, the hatred for a NY team became the Jets due to the fact that both teams are division rivals and Sox fans hating the Yankees.

Raiders: Ben Davidson, Ike Lassiter, Al Davis, etc…oh and Oakland blows<---we all can agree on that, no?…..

And let's not forget Howie Long who shills on behalf of the taxpayer's bailout canary, General Motors while doing his Sunday NFL shtick 'neath a Ford (no gov't bailout $ thank you) banner …. :)

Anecdotal evidence, my experience is that pats fans hate Rex more than they hate the jets. They really don't like Rex.

If I had to hypothesize, it's because their other local sports teams have the same type of attitude Rex brought to the jets and talks in the media. They're used to having the team that talks and is brash and confident and now the shoe is on the other foot.

    Shot in the dark though.
