I iz. And instead of scrambling to keep up with the plays with self-texts (while fighting auto spell correct), I grabbed an app this afternoon that I think may do the trick and allow for more detailed play description (e.g. personnel, offensive/defensive formations prior to the snap, items of note, e.g. a block, missed tackle, etc). I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.. N.B. Garden State ham sammich afficionados: this will be Green & White Scrimmage-related only. Please refer to threads by Guy Fieri. : )
I love how Nelson just flys under the radar with a lot of posters here on the board . You watch how year 2 in the offense and the presence of Decker does for this kid. I don't claim he's going to be a superstar but he's a big sure handed target who can make plays . I think he along with Decker & Kearly will become the playmakers this teams been lacking since the days of Braylon Holmes & Cotch. If Hill is having as good a camp as is being said by MM, and that can somehow translate onto the field, we are going to give OC's fits! Geno & Hill are 2 of my wild cards for this team making a run come playoff time.
It's stupid to me that ESPN airs somewhere in the range of 40 - 50 different spring games for College Football, yet nobody airs the full blown scrimages from training camp. Goodell is always looking for ways to make some more money, and airing 32 NFL style "Spring Games" would be genius.
Lets hear the bets ... which rookie gets mentioned first for one of the following - and which of the four items does it turn out to be: positive play: penalty: missed assignment: BIG play:
Lol jets 3 points all scrimmage. Again , idk if i should judge the O harshly or praise the defense , gotta see against a different team. Three points though? Some things never change
Brian Costello Pryor no longer wearing red jersey. In team drills with third team #nyj 11:29AM EDT I guess they'll try to ease him into it. I like it, great that he's back on the field
Chris Lopresti @CLoprestiWFAN 1m Decker hasn't looked comfortable today. Caught a short pass earlier and immediately crouched down. Saw him wincing w/o helmet on. #NYJ
Seems Decker is dropping passes, I'm guessing his head isn't into it because of his injury. Let him sit for a little
Seth Walder @SethWalderNYDN 5m Geno annoyed at Stephen Hill after a miscommunication leads to an incompletion. Seems like Geno is really pushing accountability this year. I'm liking what I've heard so far about his command/understanding of the offense.
That's a real good reason, But it's not happening. You can join all the other "fans" who are wishing harm and failure on one of our players, they're a real fun bunch. Thanks for your input.
I didn't wish him harm. I also dont want him to fail i hope he proves me and evreyone else wrong. But I'm not going to hold my breath the kid is missing the most essential part of being a wr and that's the ability to catch the ball.
Hill was always a project and is only 4 months older than Shaq Evans. From all accounts he has improved in the offseason. The hatred of Hill is ridiculous.
What are you basing that opinion on? Most of the coaches and reports I've heard out of camp are that he's looking much improved so far. Westoff just went as far as to say Hill will be the Jets #1... I'm not sure even I would go that far but Westy is a pretty straight shooter usually. Robert @Nacarano 3m Mike Westhoff thinks, as of now, Stephen Hill is the number 1 wide receiver on the #NYJets. Interesting. Time will tell.
That would be outstanding if Hill were above Decker on the depth chart. I don't see it happening, but our offense would be really good if Hill has improved enough to be the #1 over Decker.
