Good point. I mean there have always been players on the Jets I admired or followed more than others. It's that way for everyone, to state the obvious. I even sometimes will root for a player who has left the Jets, and have players I admire who never had anything to do with the Jets. But as a Jet fan, I place the team over individual players.

I think that even if Geno fails, he'll remain on the roster as the backup QB. But it's weird to wear the backup QB's jersey, and could cause some grief from supporters of whoever the new QB was.
I love my Wesley Walker throwback. Also got CMart and a Tebow elite jersey I got for $20 on clearance from NFL.com. it's the white one so wtf I don't care that Tebow did nothing in NY. I don't see the point of buying a new Jets jersey. Thinking about making my own custom one.
I'm not yet 29 but I still only like wearing jerseys on game day or NFL specific events (fantasy drafts and such) This year I do plan on getting my 1st jersey since my Revis 4 years ago No doubt it will be a knockoff for $24 prob get 2, a Decker and a Milliner
Great thing is, Team outerwear is getting to look really cool. I've seen some really nice gear associated with teams. I know damn well I'm not putting on pads and hitting anything except a cold beer after a long day at work so I don't need a jersey. However, if you look at the coaches on the sidelines, their gear really looks cool. That's why I get into the Polos, the light Jackets, the winter Jackets, etc... Those always stay relevant no matter how much the roster changes.
Got a Mo Wilk jersey this past Christmas. I might be set... I would, however, like to get a custom "Snacks" jersey. But may wait to see if he was a fad or if he's the real deal. Would also think about a Decker or CJ2k depending.
I stopped buying Jersey's after my Vilma, Favre, Sanchez, Revis, Pennington, Greene and Testaverde jerseys were useless. Can't tell who will be around anymore so hard to invest in Jersey. I just wear my Shonn Greene Jersey on gameday. It works since it says "Greene" on the back...good enough. I can't imagine wearing it any other time than gameday...it would be weird.
Have to agree, I don't go for the jerseys, mostly polos, sweatshirts and hoodies. Not too much call for the jackets down here though. Some of my shirts and sweatshirts are 10-12 years old, if it was a Santana Moss jersey I would have been kicking myself for paying good money for it and probably would have worn it again.
I was at dicks sporting goods today and right up front by the register they were having a 75% off sale on Mark Sanchez Jets jerseys no joke.They had like 200 of them .I'm curious if they sold any at all
If I were to get one this year it would be either Demario Davis or Sheldon Richardson. My tier 2 jersey considerations would be a Mo Wilk or Jeremy Kerley. Tier 3 would be Geno, Decker, Milliner, Coples, Snacks or Pryor Sheldon is already a STAR!
Probably Pryor. I like my jerseys. They are cool as a collection of history for me even if I don't wear 90% of them now. It's not like I got a tattoo of my wife wearing the quarterbacks number.
Just moved to Boynton Beach FL. after 27 years in Vegas. So, this 83 year old and his lady will put on one of our 15 plus jerseys on game day. It will help introduce us to a new group of fans when we head to a new bar here. I'll probably pick one of my oldest ones like a Namath or signed Maynard. Always wear jerseys on game day! Did that when we first got to Vegas, when none of the casinos wanted to show Jet games, but I always was a nonconformist and a loyal fan through thick and thin. Took a few years (and wins) before the casinos relented.
I'm tired of blowing money on jerseys on players who become obsolete. I'm getting a green Martin throwback and a white Namath and that's what I'll be wearing on gamedays until we have another HOF inductee.
Agree with you on the throw backs. When it comes to Jerseys, I hunt around for the older Jets like Toon, Walker, Martin. Even if it costs a little bit more, I feel that I've got a jersey that I can rock for many years. Also, I only wear them on game days, so they last a long time.
