Great organizations don't have windows, they have convertible tops. Look at the draft they had this year. They got two or three guys that they're just going to stick on IR for next year just like they did with Lattimore, because they have so much young talent and draft maneuverability that they can plan for 2015 and beyond instead of scrambling to fill immediate needs. Windows are for teams like Denver (and the Tanny era Jets) where they go all in knowing in the back of their minds that when the bill finally comes due they're gonna have to sell the house to pay it. This seems to be the route Idzik is taking with us now. It never guarantees you a championship ceiling, but it usually gives you a much higher floor.
I understand the urge to respond to trolls but if you can fight the initial urge and just think about the time you're wasting doing so I think you'll find it's much more satisfying to ignore the nonsense.
Why would the Jets be named one of the top 2 teams right now when they finished 8-8 last year? Why do you consider it disrespectful not to rank them in the top 2, yet also consider that they have no chance of winning the Super Bowl? Don't you agree that the top 2 teams should be picked from among the ones with the highest chances of winning a Super Bowl?
champ is now 0 for his last 15232 posts in making any kind of relevant football related statement. to say it another way, 14 years and counting since champ has made an interesting football point.
It's the middle of June. Unless you feel like starting a thread that can take our minds from boredom, there's really nothing else to do.
Not true. In 2007, champ made a post that said that he thought Kellen Clemens "flipped" his passes in a similar fashion to Joe Namath. This was a complimentary post, otherwise I wouldn't have remembered it. It might have even been multiple posts in that respect.
I don't remember either. I remember watching the game with all my friends too, and there isn't one play that sticks out to me as one that could have changed the game. The GB D was just no match in any way for that style offense. They've been the Achilles heel of GB lately.
Seahawks yes, 49ers no. I'd rank Patriots, Broncos, Packers, and Saints over them. 49ers are so over rated it's not funny.
Team made 3 straight NFC championships and 1 SB the last 3 years. They lost their 2 NFC championship games by 3 and 7. They earned to be respected by writers and whoever. Are they due for a drop off, yeah like many other teams, but they earned the respect they get from writers and predictors and "experts"
They made it by the skin of their teeth. I don't see it being sustainable and this year they are taking a slight step back. The predictions were for THIS season, not the last 3. I don't see them as #2. Top 10, yes. Top 5 is pushing it. We shall see, however.
They've beaten the Packers 3 or 4 times in a row in the last few years, and yes I know you're going off THIS upcoming year, but they didn't really get worse at all. Yeah they won't have Aldon for a few games, and Bowman for half the year, but when it matters in December/January, you bet your ass they'll be there ready to rumble.
