If you hate Hartnett then forget it. I'm not a fan but he was pretty good. Willis is great. A very dark funny movie. _
If you liked In Bruges and Martin McDonah directed flicks, Seven Psychopaths is ok. But no where near as good as In Bruges. That movie is brilliant. It gets better and better every time you see it. Helps if you've been to Bruges for the appreciation factor. _
I can deal with Hartnett as long as he's an also-ran. As far as Layer Cake, I was disappointed on the first watch after all of the hype but on the second watch enjoyed it a lot more.
Did you see Gone Baby Gone? Ben Affleck directed (what he does best) with Casey Affleck investigating a baby kidnapping in Southie. Outstanding. _
My favourite: VK: If you look up the word "idiot" in the dictionary do you know what you'll find? RDJ: A picture of me? VK: No! The definition of the word "idiot" which you fucking are!
Speaking of Ben Affleck and Boston nut-fondling: The Town is pretty good. Heat is still the best heist movie though. Now I'm in the mood for a heist movie: any recommendations.
I got about 5 minutes into it when I realized that I had seen it already, but my memory is foggy so I'm watching it again. I do remember it was good, though.
Yeah I just love the twists in that film. The ending scene with the Rabbi and the Boss is great. Also liked Willis' Goodkat character "there was a time". I need to watch that again. _
Now don't be a Beantown hater and just watch Gone Baby Gone. Outstanding film. Second best picture of 2008 after No Country For Old Men. _
I really liked Dredd but plotwise, it's a ripoff of The Raid: Redemption which is an awesome martial arts movie.
