If we used all of our day 3 picks he was going to Mehta was going to hitchhike home, the media room even had a chart counting down the picks. I seriously don't like that dude.

No one does. He was the one reporting "leaks" in 2011, pushing the "circus" in 2012, badmouthing Idzik's qualifications in 2013, and generally shitting on the Jets for years now.

Not only that he's basically the TMZ of football, absolutely no analysis in any of his articles just a bunch of shit stirring.

I gave them a C. There was no C+ which is where I thought they should land. On the positive side in a deep draft Idzik held onto all of his picks which were of more value this season because of the quality of the players. So not a bad strategy. Whoever falls to you at the position you draft at is a good player and better than in previous drafts. But some of the players seemed to be a stretch if you read their pre-draft evaluations. And no deals at all. We know they tried to trade up to get Lee but were unsuccessful. No real reason to trade down when you have so many picks except he might have been able to get a few 2015 picks something other teams did.

If we get 5 or 6 decent starters from the group, we had A draft.

I love it. Grading drafts the day of is tough, since you can't watch them on the field, but at the moment I am pleased. I would have went CB or WR in the first round, but after watching tape, love getting Pryor. Love Amaro too. Draft 3 WR's, if 1 pans out as a solid starter that is great. I like the draft strategy this year. Adding Boyd was icing on the cake too. A+ from me.

Like many others have said, it's way, way too early to grade, but we're all into the draft and want to do so, so here goes.

I gave it an A. I like the way Idzik let the draft come to him and used all the choices he had. He did the smart thing and filled the holes. In the beginning, when he could go after the studs he did so. He didn't have four or five first round picks, however, so after the first two days he went for quantity. We all agree that, for the most part, the draft is a crapshoot and the best way to try to make sure you get one good player at a position is to get a few and let them compete, hoping to get one standout. We only got one safety, since we're pretty confident that Pryor will be able to fill the need. Same with Amaro and TE. We didn't have the ammo to get a big stud at WR, so we took a bunch. Maybe one of them will stand out.

I like Id and I like the way he's going about things. This team is going to make some noise in the next few years.

I know absolutely nothing about any of these guys as I don't follow college football, so I'll wait for a year or two before grading the draft.

I don't hate out picks. But we could have jumped over a few and picked up a better WR.

I've been re-evaluating my grade and I'm going to downgrade it to a C+ overall grade. lots of potential but a lot of the picks were reaches and from a sheer draft grade standpoint I just can't give a B for that many reaches.
This is not indicative of how the players will play, only time will tell that, but I think the Jets really could have gotten better overall draft value.

I am excited based on sheer numbers. There has to be a few diamonds in the rough. Because of the reaches I gave them a B.
These are the rookies I am most excited for
    1. Calvin Pryor S

    2. Jace Amaro. TE

    3. Dakota Dozier. OL

    4. Trevor Reilly LB

    5. Tajh Boyd. QB

    6. Shaq Evans. WR

    7. Jalen Saunders. OW

    8. Quincy Enunwa. WR

    9. IK Enemkpali. DE

    10. Dexter McDougle. CB

    11. Jeremiah George. ILB

    12. Brandon Dixon. CB

Usually I'm one for going with quality over quantity, But I have to say the Jets FO have quietly gone about the business of continued rebuilding and done their homework and gone with players that they consider either talented or have potential to be.

I'm thrilled we used all 12 picks as I think it gives us a better chance of striking gold rather than put all our eggs in one basket with one player.

I gave a B, simply because we did address all needs, not flashy though.
The Boyd pick we didn't need, but was great value and who knows may be a diamond in the rough.

Haha, with the Trevor Reilly pick, a projected 3rd rounder, it def changed my view on the draft from a B- to a B+. Also, doesn't hurt that he shares the same last name as me. I now know what jersey I'm replacing Revis' with.
