So this draft is big time deep with Wide Recievers and I think there arent any high corners around now... With the current situation and number of WR's on the board what position do you want the Jets to draft in the second round compared to third? Right now are you at the mindset to go BPA out of the two positions the next two rounds or address your highest needs right now? Guys, I also dont think we are completely done...We could bring in a CB or WR during training camp when there are more cuts.
If they have a high graded CB take him, we can package our 3rd rounder with a few other picks to get back in the 2nd if there's a WR they like.
No "other" because one of those TEs might look pretty nice. Edit: just saw the BPA. That's my vote. _
My dream Situation 1 Lee of Mathews Fall to us 2 We trade back in for ASJ or Niklas If we had to trade up for Lee I'd be fine with it. We have the comp picks so we can survive dealing the 4th rounders, and its not overly likely that 12 rookies would all make the roster. So trading the picks that aren't comps isn't a terrible idea
BPA at OL (OT or OG) or Receiver (WR or TE). I think are adequate at CB, and with potentially strong safety play, that could make our existing CBs look even better.
I would lean towards WR but would be fine with either a TE or a CB that falls to us. Maybe a high end OLB as well. Anything else I will be less impressed by.
BPA because of guys like Van Noy and Amaro. Also a lot of good offensive lineman if we wanted to go that direction.
BPA of OG, CB, TE or WR. We should be able to get a very good impact player at 49. Amaro or ASJ would be a big upgrade at TE. We desperately need an upgrade at guard but we can also meet that need in round 3 or 4. I would expect us to take a guard n round 4 if we do not take one in rounds 2 or 3. I would expect we will likely got TE. CB or WR. But I would not be surprised to see the FO prove us wrong and simply take the top guy on their board.
