I figured rather than bumping individual player/position threads for the rampant rumors that are coming out with about 24 hours to go, we could just use this as a clearing house for all of them. Please try to link the source so everyone can see where it's coming from if they choose to research it further.

I'll start with Jay Glazer debunking the accepted idea that the Browns love Manziel and would take him at #4 overall:

    http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/...browns_raiders_to_skip_on_johnny_manziel.html

    And then:

    Jay GlazerVerified account‏@JayGlazer
Don't know how I can make this clearer for those arguing against it: CLE would take ME over Manziel at 4 & I totally botched the Wonderlic

I don't want to see Clowney in this division.

Can you imagine facing Clowney and Williams twice a year with our turnstile OL?

Honestly, I'd be fine with Bills using an RG3 trade style package for Clowney.

While they'd probably end up with an all-time great DL (though if Dareus keeps getting arrested...) but they're no where near talented enough elsewhere to throw away multiple 1st picks.

That said I think this rumor is typical draft week BS. Possibly even the Texans desperate to get someone to wow them with a 'counteroffer'

Buffalo isn't far from being a playoff caliber team, they concern me.

Oh for sure, and with Clowney they'd have a helluva D, but I just don't see enough on the O. EJ Manuel still has a long way to go to show he's a starting caliber NFL QB, Stevie Johnson is decent, but Mike Williams is one transgression from falling out the league. No good TE, and their guards are terrible. Spiller and Jackson are an excellent tandem no doubt, but I see a 8-8 to 10-6 team with Clowney not a perennial AFC Championship game team. They'd be better off getting help for Manuel at 9.

they have good WRs and a dynamic duo at RB, Manuel is a lot like geno and if he becomes a decent QB w/ those RBs and that DL they can be a playoff team.

I'm not talking championships, there's a lot of work to be done for them to get in that discussion but we will be competing for a WC spot this year and Buf could be a team we are battling.

    Ha! Good point there!

Well we are pretty similar really, though I'll take Rex's D over Schwartz's.

And there's no doubt that Clowney MIGHT make the Bills the 2nd team in the East. On the other hand I'd take 3 first rounders over 1 potential non-QB difference maker. We got Sheldon at 13 and Mo Wilk at 30 and while Clowney might end up better I'd rather have more chances.

Hearing from league source that Jason Verrett could fall out of the first round due to some medical concerns.

Take Cooks at 18 and trade up to get Verrett in round 2? Good idea?

OR take Fuller at 18 and trade up for best receiver that falls out of round 1.

Doesn't have to be Matthews. Could be Latimer, Robinson, Moncrief, Adams. Or we could just not trade up and take someone like Jarvis Landry.

Verrett projects as a slot corner. You would still need a guy to play on the outside.
