Get it thru your head that the POs mean NOTHING if U exit them B4 winning the SB since the season is played to win championships if U R unaware of that fact. In sports there are 2 things winning the championship & losing that's it nothing else no matter how U attempt to spin it. I have a feeling U R one of those fans who never/ever saw a NYJ championship so U rationalize anything they do less then winning the SB to be a major achievement. Since they have won NOTHING since 01/13/69 that makes them LOSERs since 01/13/69 no matter how U choose to spin it so face the facts U have been rooting for losers for as many years as U have been rooting for them

Paranoid? Unlikely. There is no one out to get me either. I just see it the way I see it because it`s obvious. Woody deep down really wants to win it all. The only reason? MORE $$$$$$ for his bank account. Thats it. It`s a business as we`re always being told. Well it`s a business that no longer gets my $$$$. But I see Jets fans repeatedly throwing their money away for the SOJ crap season after season. It`s not a cheap Sunday anymore. I myself can no longer justify giving my hard earned money to a franchise that is more concerned about the back page headlines than actually getting those headlines by winning. It once bugged me greatly that when the Jets won and the Giants lost, the headlines were about the Giants losing, not the Jets winning. Woody is obsessed by that and he keeps bringing in players to grab those headlines. Not players who can win. It`s disgusting yet Jets fans keep paying him for it. Just walk away from it and keep your money. I know it`s too late for some because they got suckered in with PSLs, but for the casual fan who isn`t a STH, don`t even bother going. You can have just as much fun at home with family & friends and use the savings to have a really nice BBQ.

The past is the past. Let's move on and hope Idzik gets as lucky as SEA did by drafting 5th 6th and 7th rounders that wind up stars.

If you had looked you would have seen I bolded the part of your statement that said the league, replay and officials were manipulating the games. Why did you not back up that statement instead of replying to something no one mentioned?

you did mention I was paranoid and I replied that the league being fixed is quite obvious. Are you going to say it isn`t? If so, back it up like you say. I`ll give you one example. Do you actually think the Colts wanted to lay down their starters vs the Jets on their first run to the AFCCG? Manning was so furious as was Reggie Wayne and Clark, along with Dungy. It was the Commish/NFL that, as I feel, made them do it so the Jets had a better chance of winning(actually it was a given they would win)simply because the NFL knew Woody was having trouble selling his PSLs. And even after that season, they were still having trouble selling so the second run, which wasn`t as blatant, I feel was also manipulated somehow. Do I have concrete proof? No, but I still feel the league is set up to profit the most it can without being too deliberate in the fixes. Even the Giants SB year(9-7 Wild Card team winning it all)was fixed to basically help them sell out almost completely. I`m not sure how it`s done by the league but I`ve seen some blatant lies with calls and even after reviewing replays, calls were either turned around that shouldn`t have been or not that should`ve been. The entire sports world is fixed just like gambling casinos are. How the hell does Vegas call everything so closely as they do? No one knows but the industry douches.

Absolutely! Don't be ridiculous! It is obvious that a multibillion dollar organization like the NFL would not jeopardize their lifeblood to bring question on their entire operation. Do you really think that with thousands of people involved in working for the league and teams in the last fifty years that nobody would have been aggrieved sufficiently to blow the whistle on such an operation or do you think there are dozens of unmarked graves in a subbasement of 345 Park Avenue? Your rationalizations are preposterous in how small an effect they would have as compared to the loss of integrity and subsequent loss of revenue. The best way for the league to maximize revenues is to be completely above board regardless of whatever feelings that leaves in people such as yourself who just can't believe that things haven't gone their way.

What kind of feelings do you have about Judge Crater, Jimmy Hoffa, men walking on the moon, 9/11 and TWA flight800? This should be good.

Well I see it differently. It`s the people in control that would never jeapordize the amount of $$$$$$$ they bring home. They are all paid very well from the top down to the bottom. For example, the wannabes who move the chains and the even the waterboys. Do you actually think they would jeapordize what they have? They don`t even have a clue as to whats really going on imo. They`re just happy to be on the field getting paid whatever it is they get paid. Working a few weeks during the winter months being involved in a game they love and getting paid for it to be next to "superstars" as they are called. Why are all the referees lawyers? It`s good "FU" pocket money and they get to excersize plus they know it all. Players are so overcompensated they surely wouldn`t blow any whistles to lose it. Anyway, I`m pretty certain the games are influenced by many things. Exactly how? Well, calls for instance, and they are pretty bad at times. Instant replay is another thing. I think they just use it to appease the fans like they aren`t influencing it all because of IR. We`ve clearly seen over the years that even with it, calls are blown because of that "inconclusive" rule. Don`t be so naive into thinking there is NOTHING wrong going on. It is billions upon billions of dollars involved. Television doesn`t care because they pay for ratings and ratings are astronomical right now. They are being paid off quite well for commercial time. This has nothing to do with being paranoid as you assume. I just tend to see through a lot of bullshit. I ain`t going to be fooled by billionaires and millionaires making more and more while regular people get milked of every penny they are willing to spend to be entertained by a sporting event.

    None at all
None at all because I don`t care
None at all, again don`t care since it`s obvious there isn`t anything worth a shit on the moon. No cheese, so fuck it, let it shine
It happened and our Gov`t had nothing to do with it. Saw it with my own eyes(second plane hit). The idiots and Democrats(which are the same)come up with conspiracies that Bush is to blame for it. Really now. Only a moron would believe such a thing.
Don`t care to be honest. Planes crash all the time. The less one flies, the less chance of losing their life in a plane crash. Simple mathematics.

1998 came and went. It was the worst year of my life as a Jets fan. Having a pair of SB tickets, winning 10-0 in the 3rd. And then ultimately CHOKING like the Jets can only do was heartbreaking, frustrating, disgusting and humiliating. Why bring it up some 16 years later? Is it the way of the Jets? The only positive we can actually bring back to light was from 1969 for fucks sake. Nothing since then is worth a wet fart. This franchise has sucked the life outta so many fans and it`s finally gotten to the point where this franchise needs to rebuild it`s fanbase, let alone the rebuild that has been going on for 45 years now.

Get it through your head that I'm allowed to have my own opinion, and while winning the Super Bowl is important, it is not the only thing. If you can't take any enjoyment out of watching a good team play, and the only thing that would give you any pleasure as a fan is to see a championship, then I would say you should stop watching football because you'll probably end up a bitter old man with no self-fulfillment in life.

The 1998 team was my favorite team I've ever seen. I'm 34, not old enough to have seen Namath play, but certainly old enough to have suffered through the horrible lean years. Vinny, Curtis, Chrebet, Keyshawn, Mo, Marvin, Victor, etc were a good bunch of guys and very easy to root for. While I was excited by the 2 recent trips to the AFC Title games, I never thought either of those 2 teams were actually championship caliber. They played really well in the playoffs and overachieved given the level of talent compared to their competition.

That being said, I do like Rex Ryan. I think he has the right skill set to win it all. Our GM needs to upgrade the talent in the short term and long term. This years draft, in my opinion, is extra critical. The draft is deep, and we need the top picks to be immediate impact players.
