Any new Stadium news? Haven't heard much in the last couple of months or so? Is the West Side Stadium plan dead and buried for good or does it have a chance of coming to life again? Any chance the Jets take Shea when the Mets leave? How is the Jets/Giants 50/50 partnership on a new stadium going? Last I heard they were bickering about it. Is this a done deal yet? Or is it possible we pull out an Woody builds us a stadium in Jersey instead?
You've got to be kidding with this post, right??? The Jets and Giants are going forward with their plans. The Jets' plans for a new practice facility in Florham Park were approved and ground should be broken any day. It will be the Jets home in 2008. The West Side stadium is long dead and Shea will be (mercifully) destroyed when the Mets build their new stadium. No NFL team is going to move to a 40 year old baseball stadiuim that hold 55,000. Ever.
Is it confirmed that it's 2008 or could it be the 2007 season? I'm just curious because i live about 5-10 minutes from there and would love to go see some pracitces next year. Any help on this would be greatly apprecaited.
Sorry, but it's hard to believe that a Jet fan would think that the WSS still had any life and that any football fan would want their team to play in Shea in this day and age.
Shea doesn't have a big blue "Giants Stadium" sign hanging on it...which already makes it a thousand times better, at least we'll have our dignity back.
