LATEST NEWS RECENT NEWS ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio reports free agent Chris Johnson is "expected to pick his next team by the middle of next week." A quick signing would not be a surprise. The protracted nature of Johnson's release meant teams had plenty of time to do their research and assess his contract demands. Even so, teams are not exactly lining up at Johnson's front door. The Jets have reportedly not even contacted him yet, and every other link has been tenuous at best. Wow, I hate Manish too but give it a break..everybody on the planet reported he had been cut. All Manish did was report that Idzik hadn't reached out to him yet and THEN somebody finally figured out his paperwork hadn't been filed.
Manish doesn't deserve a break. His named should be dragged through the mud at every opportunity since that's what he tries to do with the Jets. FUCK him.

It's been an interesting off-season, Cimini has been writing semi-decent articles which is a surprise. No snarling comments and a few original columns, a surprise. I actually clicked on an ESPN Jets link a few days ago.

I'm not sure there is anybody in on this but us..they say Atlanta is but they have Steven Jackson so I'm thinking it's just us. Of course we aren't hearing a word about NE and we hear they are in on everybody so maybe that's a worry.

I think the more pressing needs are WR, CB, TE than at RB, where the Jets have some depth. Taking a RB in rd 2 is not the direction I would want to go.
