And not for nothing Charlie, we are on the hinge of a 3rd world war and you are going to come at me over who is a better QB for an NFL franchise? Insanity, madness.
See? You have no interest in defending your point that you say you are seriously talking about. Here let me make it easy for you. What has Mark Sanchez done to justify being called the best QB in Eagles franchise history? Has he ever gotten further in the post season than McNabb? No. Does he have a better body of work than Randall? No. Does he have a better turnover ratio than any QB in Eagles history that lasted more than 4 seasons? No. Has he ever played a single snap for the Eagles at all? Nope. Your turn.
Yeah but Vinny was all kind of bad in TB. I mean, I remember him being bad but I just looked up his stats and he was real bad _
Vinny was awful in Tampa on some awful teams, another example of a QB needing weapons to succeed. Vinny was mostly a very good QB outside of Tampa.
I'm definitely not saying he was good but he had a couple 3k+ seasons there so playing second fiddle to a mercenary game manager who QBd an all time great defense team to the SB isn't saying a whole lot, heck Trent Dilfer needed the Ravens D to get over that hump and he was in Tampa for years. I'm not even sure what my point is but that probably fits with the history of the Bucs too
I think Green Bay has to be Favre, Dallas I'd go Aikman, and for Indy its Peyton Manning May be my age, but just my opinion
What Bart Starr had five championships including 2 SBs and 2 SB MVPs, Favre had 1 SB a pain killer addiction and a tampering scandal
It might be age. If you told me to name Packers QBs, Rodgers and Favre would come first before Starr just because of my age. That's because those are the Packers QBs in my lifetime. I wouldn't argue anyone putting Starr there though. He's held in a very high regard by NFL historians
When he was a Jet I felt he gave us a chance to compete and win every game. He was damn good for us, him going down that year was devastating for me as a Jet fan. I truly felt that was our year. _
1998 was the best year I have ever seen from a Jet QB and it's probably the best ever for a Jet. He wasn't the same post injury but he was still good enough to win w/ and we were never out of a game. He had incredible physical tools, I wish we got him about 5 years earlier or that he was 5 years younger when we got him in 1998.
That Parcells team, the 2002 team and 2010 are my favorite 3 teams all time. I was only 9 for 1969 and the 81-86 era I was up at Cuse and didn't get the games. _
'98 was my favorite of all time b/c we were a legit top team, not a surprise run I postseason. I also graduated college that year and was able to go to a bunch of road games including at Buffalo and at Miami at the end of the year and had my SB package all set until they blw it at Denver. I love those other teams too, going to the Pats and Steelers playoff games in the 2010 postseason was great but '98 was my favorite.
Favre also has a lot of the NFL passing records. Also when Starr played, there weren't as many teams or as much parity as we have today. Both are HOF of course though.
