I wanted Sanchez off the Jets, but not because of his character.

He seems like a great guy who really liked being here. It just wasn't working anymore.

Definitely have respect for Sanchez, the guy. His play is what I think all of us disliked about him. And that's fair.

Says the guy with the Revis handle?

Revis calls the organization liars when he leaves then joins our most hated rival, but he's ok with you.

Sanchez never does anything "wrong" other then not play at an all star level that is demanded by our fans. The Jets basically dismantled his career in 3 joke filled years of an organization and a GM. He then thanks the team and the fans as he's leaving for the opportunity and you say he's not a class act?

    Why?

A very nice message. I always hated his performance and happy that he is cut. But this message is a pretty good one and I command Mark for that. I hope he finds success and happiness in his next job.

I'm as big of a Sanchez "hater" as there is on this board, and I still think you're a jackass for comments like this.

say what you want about his play, but he handled every little bit of adversity like a true professional. to say he isnt a class act is bullshit, and shows that you wouldnt know class if it bit you in the ass.

One of the most successful QB's in franchise history (hate on). And people act like his performance is all his fault. When we all know good and well he was treated like shit by the FO by not providing an adequate surrounding. He was unproven coming out and was given next to no help. Holmes a number one? Are you kidding me?

This is how you leave a team...that is class all the way in my book...I wish him success in the future as long as it isn't against the Jets.

Never had an issue with how classy he was (well, rape allegations aside) but you don't pay a guy millions because his agent and whoever else can write a pretty letter.

He had his ups and downs here and I assume he will continue that trend in another city. I don't have any ill-will towards the guy so I wish him all the best but at the same time I'm not really sad to see him go.

Revis isn't a class act...Sanchez for all his garbage play still walked a fine line and never was a drama queen with the team

I'm most disappointed in the fact that he's 28 years old. I could have sworn I've been arguing with a high schooler all this time.

It shows he had real emotions and didn't use the kid for publicity. Other athletes don't remember names of these kids. Mark was all abt winning, not tge circus that was allowed to created.

Douchey lol??? Some fans will never be satisfied...

Not a bad statement, most players do something similar, at least the "stars." Of course, a cynic might say he's paving the way to a good (read: financially beneficial) relationship in a new place. Can't hurt.

Cool of Sanchez to do that. I thought he always seemed like a good guy.
