Congratulations Jets fans on a nice win for you guys. I watched most of that game and was once again really impressed with chad. When that guy is healthy he is really good. His poise and sharpness is terrific. Here's hoping for an exciting dog fight in the AFC EAst....

    i agree with ya

chad is really good when hes healthy....but there enlies(sp.) the problem

we need to make sure he doesnt ever take more than 5 hits a game, if he does, were risking alot

..and thanks, i know it takes alot for a patriots fan to say the jets are ever looking good

Its just wonderful to see Chad get the rewarded for his hard work with some excellent wins. I expect him to continue to show that his dedication and maturity( a lot less rah-rah these day) will result in wins that we would never have gotten last year. And Sean....thanks. I love classy fans

At first I thought the thread title was a sarcastic one and that the thread itself would be filled with food and noodle references. Glad to see I was wrong

Same here. Chad has been the difference between winning and losing ever since he's been our QB.

I'm thinking with two potentially dominant tough receivers and Chris Baker that Chad's problems against aggressive blitzing defenses might be over. Nothing like burning a D for a long gainer to keep everybody at home on the passing downs.

    good points.

the emergence of Cotchery and Baker have really helped Chad in getting rid of the ball quickly against the blitz. of course, it helps to have an improving OL; which excites me even more, because the OL can be so much better and when it is, this Offense will be very difficult to stop. that's not to say it'll be a juggernaut, but if you notice the time consuming drives we've put together -- that's the sign of a very good Offense.

now if we can just get the running game going.

    cheers

I really have a lot of respect for Chad. At first I was skeptical about the way he kind of just drops balls into areas but man I was wrong. The guy is VERY smart and as far as I'm concerend that accounts for at least 90% of a succesful QB's formula. There are more 10 cent heads with rocket arms or fleetful feet. I'm a big admirer of Chad and also Laverneus....

Hey Sean, when was the picture in your avatar taken? Obviously, not this year. It looks to be pre-game. Any idea?

    Disregarding offensive line, and receivers...

who is the more proficient passer, Penny or Brady, Sean?

lol its kinda hard to determine that. thats the most hypothetical thing ever.

BUT, I do understand what your asking. I just dont think that any guess holds relevance though in a dice roll question like that.

they both stay cool, penny is more accurate, brady stronger arm, both are good decision makers.

im done rambling I just thought saying I dont know in a drawn out manner would be fun.

At least WE'RE not calling plays from our living room like the good old days of Herm and Hackett. That's a huge difference for Chad. The lack of predictability just might keep him in one piece this year.

Thought Herm and Hackett dod a nice job with the running game and short passes, but teams started catching on, injuries and age took thier toll, and it got old for us fans. It was a vey effective offense though for a few years. Really like that Pennington seems to have much more control of the play calling this year. I have some confidence in his ability to read defenses

What I like is that Pennington has seen enough fronts to recognize most defenses. They can't really disguise them like they used to when Chad was handcuffed in Hackett's system.

Chad's freedom to call plays may be as big a revelation as his newfound ability to throw 30yds on a rope..

id say 25 yrds....but close enough...that extra 5 yards makes his ball loft a little bit
