Not a big Vick fan but he is the back up. so if Geno fucks up and forces Vick to play, that'll just give me two reasons to hate his guts -- for screwing up the season and forcing me to have to cheer for Vick.

 

You might not agree with his convictions or feelings (neither do I, by the way). But you insulted his family; that's off limits.

Can he help us win games? Can he help Geno or will he be a distraction and Geno will go INT crazy and turn on dogs?

 

Starting Vick makes zero sense unless Geno stinks up the joint during minicamps and TC. Vick isn't the future. The Jets need to find out if Geno can be the guy going forward. This isn't a team built to go anywhere in 2014. They're building for the future, the long haul. Adding Vick adds a quality backup even though his skills have deteriorated, and hopefully he can help mentor Geno.

 

Glad to have him for that price. Idzik is doing well.

 

Last time I watched Vick play in person, he fumbled three times against Pittsburgh. One was at the goal line untouched.

 

Bringing up his father meant to illustrate how long he's been Jets fan, it had nothing to do with animal cruelty arguments. Cool of a little. The guy is one of the more reasonable posters here. This happen to be his Achilles heel issue.
Cut the man a slack, will you? After all you want him to cut a slack for Vick, might wanna show example.

I don't care if he cuts slack for Vick. I also don't care how long he's been a Jets fan. You don't bring someone into a fight without expecting them to have to fight. If he didn't want his father brought up, then don't bring him into it.

I disagree, every player needs pushing (ie competition). It either makes him better or worse -- either help speed up the development or helps determine he is not destined to be good. This is especially important for QBs, for obvious reasons.
