Decker/Kerley/Nelson is a solid receiving corp. We need to draft a guy (Watkins/Evans/Lee) that can develop into that number 1 receiver role by 2016.

I would much rather Lee because Evans and Decker are similar players. Lee brings in the RCA that we've not had since Holmes got his money.

thats my ideal scenario, and at this point Decker> Evans. In a way Evans should hope he turns out like Decker, only more of pain to try and beat man to man (It think Evans has a higher physical ceiling but that it won't be realized immediately)

I like Evans too, he's got a good future in front of him, but just for style diversities sake a quicker more fluid moving WR that can be used in multiple looks like Lee is the better choice to complement a more physical yet elusive straight up WR like Decker.

I don't think anyone could guess what Idzik is thinking maybe not even Idzik himself lol but the rumors were we're still going to go after James Jones. Couple popular opinions..

It looks like we will pay low to mid money 1 year type of deal for a corner (Cro, captain, browner)
Safety - ? Can't be top dollar most of those guys are gone
QB - Vick, Hill, McCown shouldn't cost much ( Sanchez when cut should save 8-10 mill)
    TE - low money (Pettigrew?)
RB - should pay 1-3 million for 1-2 years (CJ2k, MJD)
    OG- ??
    OLB - ?? Pace?

So a summary of that is, we will not be breaking the bank. Back to WR's bottom line is we can and probably will get another receiver I like Jones but I'd prefer Nicks or Edleman.

Going into the draft we should have most holes filled and be in a situation where we can go BPA

We still need to add another receiver. It can take guys who are drafted a little while to develop like you noted. And i'm not sold on a guy like Nelson yet. Right now I feel comfortable with Decker and Kerley. We still need more help out there.

Adding a guy like James Jones would be nice.

I'd look to add another receiver in f.a. Also I'd look to sign a corner or two, a backup qb, an og (not Colon), and I'd look to bring Pace back.

This would fill all of our holes on the roster and free us up to draft bpa in every single round. If it's another cb in the first than so be it.

Sign Emmanuel Sanders, draft a WR & TE first 2 rounds (unless there is a good starting caliber guard available). I don't mind being cheap if it gets Wilks paid this year. Next year he'll probably cost more.

Meaning that we have a bunch of quality number 2 receivers who all pose a threat to the defense so that the defense cannot focus on stopping one guy. I think that is the approach we are going to take going into this year. Guys like Kenny Britt or Hakeem Nicks CAN be a legitimate number 1 receiver but both are serious risks, so I don't know if Idzik would look to add either of them.

I think that's an ideal group for a young QB..you don't need speedsters and big targets can do nothing but help..draft Ebron if you can and you're set.

I think two of our first three picks should include a WR and a TE. I mean if there is a can't miss guy at another position then that takes priority but if there is say a WR that we have ranked the same as a RG I saw we go WR, same if it's a TE. So two of our first three picks should be TE and WR. For my, realistically, I would like to see us get either Ebron and maybe Benjamin or whoever drops to the second round or Lee and the next top TE (Amaro? S-Jenkins? Not sure)

I'm all for offense by committee as well. I don't think you need a super star receiver like a Megatron or something, the problem is if you don't have any super stars anywhere on offense you are kind of in trouble.

I'd be fine with adding another receiver. But you still have Hill and Salas showed some potential as a contributor.

I would still draft a WR in the first round assuming someone of approximate value is available as receivers often take a bit of time to find their feet.

If we keep 6 WRs at least 1 and probably 2 have to play ST. Unfortunately I don't see any ST contributors on this list.

Those guys you mentioned deserve the right to compete in training camp along with Nelson. I still wanna go out and sign another vet FA and draft one early, in a perfect world.

I still think Hill has a world of potential and wouldnt give up on him just yet but he's the type of guy moving forward who shouldnt be handed anything.

How much would you be willing to pay Holmes if we bring him back ? I think he would be a great addition on a 1 year contract. He will have to play well to to earn one last 2-3 contract before he's finished. He knows the system and with the addition of Decker he won't have as much pressure to be the main guy.

We only need one more starting WR. If we sign Jones, who we are interested in, we should not go WR until at least round 2 and thats only if a top player is available. I know our receiving core was weak last year but there are other holes that need to be addressed. I think a receiving core of Decker/Jones/Kerley as our starters is a huge upgrade from last year not to mention Pettigrew and Cumberland.

However I think our remaining priorities in free agency in order is:

    1) CB (Captain? Must get a deal done soon CB market shrinking quickly)
    2) RB (MJD, i think this would be a huge signing and be a lot like the LT signing; 2-3 years 2.5 mil a year)
    3) G (Don't need a big name just someone solid, a guy like Davin Joseph maybe just what the doctor ordered)
    4) WR (Jones would be a nice addition, if not there is plenty of depth in the draft to get a guy rd 1 or 2)
    5) OLB (Pace where are you? I don't see us splerging on this position we just need a guy that can beat one on one blocking and can set the edge nothing crazy we already have one of the premier lines in the league)
    6) Backup QB (I believe Geno earned another year we don't need Vick just a quality backup)

As far as safety goes I dont think we need to address this in Free Agency at least not a starting Safety We should re-sign Reed and let Allen/Reed/Landry rotate maybe add an upgrade in the draft

If we can accomplish these six things we are really set up nice to draft BPA and add quality depth to our team.
