Nick Folk got $12M over 4 years with $2.1M guaranteed. His '14 cap number is $3.6M. It was $3.556M with the franchise tag.

Late to the party(happy as hell we got Decker and that tackle who replaced Howard) but this contract is WELL-DESERVED, IMO. 4 straight years of having one-year-deals and having to fend off opposing kickers and now finally Nick gets some much-needed Job Security. :)

He's been extremely clutch for us I'm happy he got paid.

I'm not sure what security this gives him if his guarantee is 2.1M and his first year cap is 3.6M..either one of those are a misprint or it sounds like we can cut him at any time.

    What I mean is that it's not a 1-year-deal again. That's all I'm saying.

I get what you're alluding to but considering what I've seen from Nick, I think he'll earn whatever non-guaranteed money is pointed out in this contract.

And unless he really REALLY craps the bed this year and misses HALF(or more) of his FG kicks, I seriously doubt he would be cut.

Besides, the Jets have MORE than enough Cap space to hold onto him for the entirety of this contract.
