McCareins had one decent season before we signed him. Decker's coming off two fantastic seasons. And yeah, Peyton. But he's significantly more accomplished.

Very happy about this. Now let's get Jones. Decker, Kerley and Jones together and we are light years better than the last few seasons at WR. That would be a pretty good trio. Throw in a solid WR from the draft and we could even be dangerous.

Im certainly happy with the signing and numbers related to his deal. Now something along the line of a 3yr/$13 mil deal for James Jones and id be quite happy with the look of our WR corps. Also allows us to target either TE or CB in round 1, barring we dont make another splash signing. Ebron and Gilbert more than likely are top of our board right now

He won't complete a WR overhaul, but damn it he's a huge part of that process.

This is an incredibly cerebral player, who runs great routes and makes tough grabs, a perfect guy to take the load off a rookie WR or otherwise take advantage of their production by being deceptively dangerous if not focussed on.

We weren't gonna get Megatron, but we have the best Receiving threat on the market, all for exactly the right price. Draft another WR in the first and second, watch the corp go from piss poor to genuinely threatening.

I like this move. Only 15 mill guaranteed for 5 yrs. While Revis is getting 12mil in NE for 1 yr. Idzik is definitely a shrewd GM.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but whose Jones? Thats like saying Williams would be a huge get.

5 years is a pretty steep commitment. The cost though seems fair. Plus, we need a name at WR, whether he's #1 quality or not.

I like the signing, and it'll give someone for Geno to build with. Now look at another FA receiver and draft one early on to pair with Decker/Kerley.

Jets female fan base just skyrocketed haha.

Love the deal and think people are thinking like we tried to get our version of AJ Green, Megatron or Larry Fitzgerald. We are looking to stack Geno with weapons. Look at the perennial contenders - NE, SEA, NO, DEN, SF, BAL. who is their Megatron? They are all WR by committee, without a "true # 1 WR" as well as with strong defenses. Give the young QB weapons like Decker and Sanders to pair with Kerley and Nelson/Hill, add MJD to be our new LT and then move up a little to get Ebron out of UNC in the draft. Lots of options to let Marty and Geno loose with like all of the other teams that have consistent post season success....

    Geno
    MJD
    Decker
    Sanders
    Kerley
    Nelson
    Hill
    Ebron
    Cumberland

James Jones. Packers. Led the league in TD receptions in 2012.

I like it a lot. I'm hoping we grab an additional WR (Sanders or Jones), MJD on the cheap for depth purposes, and then another TE (Pettigrew?)

With that combination you go BPA for any offensive position you want.
