i am not sure its that automatic he goes to with manning. there are 3 other good to very good receivers that are going to get alot of targets. if he would have come here he is automatically the #1 and the opportunity for bigger stats.

It would be cool if we had a thread tracking Jets 2014 free agency for stuff like this.

Enough with fkn Nicks! He doesnt practice b/c he`s always hurt and that will be the same BS we had to put up with last year with Holmes and Winslow. If Geno is going to be our QB he needs players that can practice and stay on the field, not the trainers table!

Thats true, Geno needs to build chemistry with his receivers and practice is the best time and place for that. Kerley seemed to be the only receiver that Geno had chemistry with. Hopefully Geno will have a lot of new faces to learn this season, and he needs to spend a lot of time with all of them so that he feels just as comfortable with them as he does with Kerley.

I really wanted to take a shot with Maclin, Kerley, and one or more draft pick WR's. Bummer.

In March "Jets news" becomes a much looser term, heh...

If you put Roberts in the slot where does Kerley play?

Good point. The Jets aren't attractive to a guy in his situation. Better to have him off the radar now so the team can focus on other options.

Its a misconception that Roberts and Kerley would both need to play slot 100% of the time. Roberts is young, dynamic and to me could be a legit #2 wr in Marty's offense.
