good to see a long list of wr's being talked to. just have to hope the draft shakes out in a good way for us
I think Garoppolo is going to be drafted in the 2nd round. All it takes is one team to pull the trigger and from what I've been hearing, a lot of scouts love the Kid.
Agree here. The question is, if he is available in round 2, do you take a chance with him there? He could be one hell of a sleeper in the 2nd round
It depends what the Jets do in free agency. I expect us to sign a veteran QB, like Chad Henne, which would make drafting Garoppolo a luxury we can't afford and what kind of message does send to Geno by management. Garoppolo isn't a sleeper any longer, the NFL is well aware of his potential. I've mentioned this before, Garoppolo has the best footwork and delivery of any QB in this class.
Pretty scared the Ravens will take the receiver we want right before us like Seattle did with Bruce Irvin, forcing us to take Coples
There are a lot of WRs to choose from, I think Beckham will be an option at #18, I'm expecting big things from him this week at Indy. What scares me is losing Ebron to the Ravens at #17, going to depend on them resigning Dennis Pitta. While WR is a huge need for B-more, I could see Ozzie drafting an OT (Lewan) or even CJ Mosley...who they supposedly like. Ozzie will draft the BPA and not reach.
I'm really high on Beckham just from seeing him stretch the field and snatching balls with his hands, plus his ability in the open field. I'm less high on Ebron now because he doesn't seem to have solid hands and the last thing the Jets need is someone who can't focus on the easy stuff. I wouldn't mind taking Beckham at #18 but we could try and trade back and still grab him while taking Troy Niklas with the pick we gain.
If you have to find a weakness in Ebron's game it's an occasional drop and it's usually an easy play. The drops will probably something he will overcome, he sure makes some terrific difficult catches in traffic, so it's a lack of concentration at times. Many years ago, old timers will remember, the first couple of years of Wesley Walker's career were at times disappointing with key drops, but it was something he grew out of and developed into an outstanding WR. Ebron's physical ability and mismatch nightmare outweigh an occasional drop.
Are there any players other than WR that the just are meeting with? Lol though they probably want to get a feel for these guys and maybe ask them their expectations for their workouts tomorrow. Mike Mayock was seemingly disappointed by the tight ends today
You know what really shocked me? The Jets did not hold an interview with Mike Evans. They even asked Evans and he confirmed he has not been approached by the Jets. Very interesting.
We need to give up whatever it takes and get Watkins... Would take this offense and instantly make it a Top 10
Calm down with top 10 LOL He is going to be impressive but will not instantly make our offense top ten haha
