Thoughts? Worked in the front office of Tampa Bay for 18 years. Very strange that Tampa didn't even bring him in for interview while searching for new GM. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24420993/report-dolphins-hire-dennis-hickey-as-new-gm
Dolphins fans don't seem too happy about the hire. They feel like he was one of the last options available.
Is philbin a lame duck coach this year or what? Also did anyone see/hear about how mike Wallace said he could have scored 20-25 TDs this year if dolphins used him right? Lmao
Supposedly this guy was getting fired by Tampa anyways so why not take the job lol God I hope this isn't a disaster but it sure feels like it
Luckily we fired the OC so this isn't really a shot at the current coaching staff I guess. A more accurate statement would be that if Tannehill could hit a deep ball then he could have had another 5-6 TDs
philbin is done, there is no way a new g.m. is not going to want to hire his own h.c. the minute 2014 is over philbin is out, whoever heard of a g.m. keeping the incumbent coach?
Very weird power structure going on over there. Just read an article saying that Hickey would not have power to fire Philbin, even if Fins stink. Also, heard some players may want out
Lmao looks like this could get fun hahaha They need to just cut this franchise from the NFL. What a joke
They really couldn't add a ton to our team. We could use the WR help, and a few D guys, maybe OL help. They look like a pathetic franchise, but they had the same record we did.
Which shows how pathetic they are. They spent a fortune in free agency. We had a purged roster, a rookie qb, and absolutely no weapons. Yet we still had the same record and finished above them in the division. That's sad on their part.
Fun read right here lol Over on the Dolphins forum http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?80761-Players-wants-out!!
And to think in the preseason the Phins and the Phans were talking about how they had plans to make the playoffs and overtake the division. Even in the Phins best year, the Jets were able to match it in a season that was considered a "down" year for the franchise.
I understand Sanchez will never carry a team in the regular season but I can count on my one hand the amount of QBs that can carry a team. Even guys like Roethlisberger, Eli, Flacco have shown without a good group of talent around them, they can not get their teams into the playoffs.
