Aside from Mo getting snubbed its pretty clear we dont have a single pro bowl quality player on the team and yet its all the coaches fault we are not headed to the superbowl according to many on this board SMH

it's no shock...the jets are either ignored or disliked by the media. it's a 7-9 or 8-8 team with not one 'all-star'? pretty funny.
this is one reason to keep rex, in my opinion. not that i'm strongly in favour of with outcome, but in football i think you don't want 'your' team to be 'liked'.

His wife would love the boondoggle more than Mo. Especially when Mo can't hit the QB on national TV while his wife is shopping for a new Gucci purse.

Who ever gets hurt at the Pro Bowl? It's flag football. Ironically the only serious injury I can think of took place at a beach event (not even the actual game) with Robert Edwards.

Who cares, we had seven Pro Bowlers the year we imploded and missed the playoffs in Mangini's final season but nobody remembers that either. It would be nice for MoWilk to go (and I'm sure he'll get to at some point) but it's not like too many other people really deserve the honor. Folk ran into a brutal year for a kicker to try and make it.

I believe you are on the right track. I mentioned those as being the top five this year in my book. The debate is at 3-5 as Quinn and Watt were definitely the top two this year.
Hardy is #3 for me. I suppose Wilkerson was a tick better than Jordan. I didn't see every Saints snap, but I will betcha Jordan benefited more from good coverage than did Wilkerson meaning that some of Jordan's pressures and sacks were of the coverage variety. Wilkerson destroyed a bunch of plays before they really began.

    Nick Folk got robbed.

His recent field goal miss may have cost him the pro bowl berth.

Seriously no more kickoffs in the Pro Bowl? WTF is Goodell doing? Its bad enough he neutralized the kicking game by moving the kick off up so many yards so most go out of the back of the endzone, I would be BSed if he took kickoffs totally out of games that count.....its one of my favorite plays in football.

Yup. 'Player Safety'. First he got rid of the blitz. Now kick-offs. Not sure, but ball will probably just be placed on the 20.

The entire NFL is probably headed in that direction too.

No more blitzing (teams can only rush 4 down lineman) and no more kamikaze kick-offs returns. The NFL has already outlawed the 'wedge' formation and are considering outlawing overloading one side on on-side kicks too. They already outlawed defenses overloading one side on FG block attempts (see end of the last San Diego game).

NFL = slow death by rule book.

The NFL our kids and grand kids grow up knowing will be far closer to soccer & the NBA than 'real' football.

    Very sad.

    Mo yes, Folk probably not.

Tucker, Gostkowski, and Prater in the AFC alone had better years.

I will enjoy watching the draft. I loved the NHL all-star draft.

I will probably continue my longstanding tradition of ignoring the game.

I bet at least 4 Jets wind up playing in the probowl. Between SB participants and guys who always come up with "injuries" to blow it off (Brady), there will be a lot of different faces in the game than the original picks,

    Man it really is sad.

Im all for player safety myself, but in the end it's a physical game. Kick offs are some of the most exciting plays IMO......that Kickoff return in Pitt on the opening kickoff for Brad Smith in 2010 was awesome.....Chad Mortons two kick returned TDs vs Buffalo in 2002 IIRC (1 of them the game winner in OT), Leon had a nice TD return vs the Pats on that Thursday night game in NE in 08, McKnights return on Monday night vs Houston last season, etc.

I will definitely be crushed if they totally take kickoffs out of all games completely. Its a great part of the game.....I made some of my best plays on kick off and kick coverage in Pop Warner.....great memories.....gives the non superstar players opportunities to make big impacts in the game as well.
