After seeing this video, I'm more inclined to believe Idzik wanted Rex to remain, and that it wasn't just Woody. Also, what other coach would get that reaction from his players? Cimini reported yesterday that the locker room was going nuts as if they had won a Superbowl.
Idzik is not really a rah rah guy, he seemed so out of place but you can tell it was genuine because I've never seen him like that great moment
So I hope this will now quell all the idiot fans and pundits that have been conjecturing without any evidence since the announcement that Woody forced Rex on Idzik. Listening to WFAN this morning it's been non-stop.
It looks to me like Idzik went and brought in one of "his" guys for head coach. What some of the Rex haters didn't take into account was that after working together for a year Rex and Idzie got to like and respect one another. After watching that video it seems clear to me that bringing Rex back was not a decision made by Woody alone.
