According to Shefty, Rob Chudzinski has been fired by the Browns after one season, what a mess that organization has been after they fired Mangini. Chud is the 2nd coach fired this season.
Shannahan most likely getting canned tomorrow.. Don't know what the hell they are waiting for but ok.
Meh, Chudzinski was no miracle maker. Browns fans at least have this to look forward to
Only a few select players, but this doesn't sound good: http://deadspin.com/whether-or-not-rob-chudzinskis-been-fired-browns-play-1491325351 Peter King @SI_PeterKing 2m A gem from D'Qwell Jackson right now, to me: "We fired Chud? You're kidding, right? Are you kidding me?"
Joe Thomas sounded off as well on the situation saying winning organizations don't fire their HCs after 1 season.
Here is a bigger problem for Cleveland, why would another coach want to coach the Browns when they know they can be canned after one year, not a big name coach thats for sure
Not to mention you got captains on your team openly disagreeing with the decisions. Joe Thomas is a very classy guy and a perennial all pro player so his words hold weight.
I wonder what happens to Norv Turner as a result of the Browns firing? Is Norv next in line possibly? or is Norv about to go to to the Giants?
I would have Norv as OC in a heartbeat........he would fix Geno or Sanchez in weeks. I like Marty but notice how well the Eagles offense did this year with essentially the same cast. They jumped about 20 spots.
I thought Chud was doing a good job. The record was bad but he started 3 different QBs multiple times this year, they were competitive despite that.
This x10. You can't judge a guy based on the mess they have. The scouts and general manager making the draft picks need to go. They dealt the coach a hand that you can't work with, at least offensively. The Browns defense has the talent to be very good but, like your Jets and the Giants' similarly, are always forced into bad situations due to inept offenses. Chudzinski didn't create that offense, he inherited it. He kept that team fighting most weeks and nearly knocked off some big dogs like my won Patriot's team, who probably could have lost if not for a weak PI call. The front office need to be evaluatated heavily, the coaches were not the biggest problem, the offensive talent scouts and GM are.
The Browns are just a mess. 15 seasons now since expansion and 1 playoff spot. A few of the Woody haters should try that team on for size for a few seasons and then come back much happier with their "plight" than they were when they left.
yep - poor decision by the Browns - as ever coaches get way too much blame when a team fails because its easier to sack the coach than to sack all the players.
Joe Thomas, their best offensive lineman is hating this right now. Hey Joe, don't sign your contract and come play LT for the Jets  Only a matter of time before Shanahan gets the boot.
