The 5 most recent wide receivers to do it:

    AJ Green 2011
    Colston 2006
    Michael Clayton 2004
    Boldin 2003
    Randy Moss 1998

Only 16 rookie receivers did it in the history of the NFL according to pro football reference

How many potential top 10 teams are gonna need a WR?

    Hou?
    Jax?
    CLE?
    NYG?
    WAS?
    ATL?
    OAK?
    BUCS?
    MINN?
    BUF?

Between those teams the only one that I can see taking a receiver is Oakland.

And the Raiders might want to cash in on a QB if available.

there are a ton of receivers that can go for 1000 yds if they have the right QB throwing to them - that's what the Jets have been missing for years (and years and years).

You don't need speed out of the slot. You really need quickness. Kerley is perfect out of the slot and should be signed tho a long term deal.

2008 surprises me w/ as much as Favre through.
2009: didn't get Braylon until game 5, had a rookie QB and didn't throw a lot
2010: didn't get Holmes until game 5 and we had a bunch of nice weapons to spread the ball around
    2011: holmes was disappointing
2012: we had no one to throw to(on a consistent basis w/ injuries)
2013: see 2012 and add in rookie QB

Everyone loves sammy watkins. I don't see how he falls out of the top 5 honestly. He might even be a top 3 pick after the combine

Keenan Allen is at 957. Really wish we drafted him. Chargers got a steal

So the last time they had a 1000 yard WR, was when they had an actual competent QB with a decent completion rate and QB rating. You don't say?

I think a lot of those teams could pass on WR's so even if we go 7-9 or 8-8 we'd be in a position to draft a good receiver.

Indeed. Chad was really good for the most part when he did play. Maybe really good is a bit over rating though, because I'm used to Sanchez standards.

Chad actually wasn't good at all, that was the worst extended action of his jets career.

why must you bash Mark? he did something Chad couldn't do(and Chad is an all time favorite of mine).

MIKE EVANS MAN!!!!!,you need a receiver who can go up and out jump and out muscle a DB. Big time receivers make up deficiensie of a young QB. Even Cotchery bailed out Sanchez off the mark throws many many times.
