Sounds like a sad story. I'll be rooting for him.

Don't wanna crap on the guy but he was a UDFA before he walked away. I'm not expecting much.

That was my opinion untill i spent a few minutes with google. Pre draft some "experts" had him pegged as first round talent. Couldn't find any info on why he went undrafted.
(Maybe it was common Knowledge about the son and his mind not being in place)

Considering the texans held onto his rights for over a year before waiving thought maybe there was something to it.

Typical highlight videos on youtube make him look good but did notice a few good signs. Looks to run routes well and catches with his hands. Speed never hurt either.

    I googled him as well.

Looked like he had a really good senior season at UNC. He's got the size too.

It's a possibility. God knows we need talent at the receiver position. Hopefully he can have some impact. It is interesting that the Texans held onto his rights, they must have seen something in him.

He didn't lose himself, he prioritised his son over football.

No he lost his son who died under the age of two... he chose to be with his son vs playing a game.

I don't know about everyone else, but I find if pretty stupid if you to write this, no matter if you were serious or not.

Doesn't matter. He could write whatever he wants about football, but why write about this kids not even two year old son.

He's definitely got the size for the NFL. Can't get too high on players like this, but you really can't help but root for him.

This guy catches every ball thrown in his direction from what I remembered from his days in UNC

Messed up story, feel bad for him. I hope he can get into a game at some point. Not expecting Andre Johnson or Megatron but can't hurt to have someone who had a pretty high ceiling not too long ago.

Dwight Jones is a good man and father. Wish him and his family all the best and pray for their tragic loss.

some people have no respect for anything anymore

anyway, kids got the size and speed to make it. he had talent, but he also could be much more motivated to play right now than he has ever been in his entire life. hoping for the best for both him and his family.

ill tell you onw thing, at least the jets are trying to get some talent in at wr. this is an extremely low risk high reward type scenario as well which i like a lot.
