I was just listening to Chad's presser from the official site and while discussing his apparent improved arm strength a reporter queried his participation in a karate program this offseason. This is the first I've heard of this. Any info?

Good. Nothing better to restore confidence plus he'll learn how to fall and minimize the force at which he is projected

Funny you should say that Doom.... I have noticed Chad bracing himself differently when he's sacked. He does seem to protect his throwing side better than in the past. Hopefully, no more wrist and shoulders eh?...

Good catch, Cman, that's practically all I could watch on the replays of when he got hit. Apparently this CS is interested in keeping him healthy.

He was quoted earlier this year as saying he took up kung-fu to strenghten his mid core and put less stress on his shoulder when he throws the ball.

    Poor Pat Morita.........

Yeah Chads throws do appear to have more zip. I was talking to a friend and fellow Jet fan who works at the corner store. He was predicting this would happen (I disagreed). His logic was like that of certain pitchers whove been able to add a few MPH on their throw after having surgery. I myself joked around about the movie "Rookie Of The Year" and didnt see it happening. Maybe he worked through the scarred tissue, who knows.

    Either way its a positive.

Physically; not mentally. Hannibal Lecter would have cured him though.
