Next year's international games have been announced - a pretty meh selection unless you happen to be a fan of one of the teams involved (historically there are a lot of Phins and Cowboys fans in the UK so I suspect those will do well) - the Falcons/Lions game has the potential to be decent if the Falcons current form is just a blip. •The OAKLAND RAIDERS will host the MIAMI DOLPHINS in Week 4 on Sunday, September 28. •The ATLANTA FALCONS will host the DETROIT LIONS in Week 8 on Sunday, October 26. •The JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS will host the DALLAS COWBOYS in Week 10 on Sunday, November 9. Cant get very excited about any of them though so it will save me some cash at least.
Why do they always send shit teams like the Jags over to London? People don't give a crap about that. Have a Broncos vs Patriots game or Packers vs Saints. If the NFL really wants to captivate a big enough audience to eventually open up a successful franchise out there, they are doing it wrong.
None of the 4 teams you mentioned are going to give up a Home Game. If the JETS were chosen to go you could bet your house that it would not be a home game either, or maybe Woody would want that. Jacksonville is chosen most often since their home game $$ are nowhere close to what the Broncos, Patriots, Packers or Saints are. The teams that travel to London make out very well financially, so that bodes well for the pockets of the Jacksonville owners. I am a bit surprised that Atlanta is a home team but I'm sure that Oakland and Jacksonville don't mind losing a home game at all. Miami, Detroit and Dallas are just there due to the scheduling but I'm sure their owners were consulted and said OK before the NFL ultimately chose them.
I expect Atlanta to bounce back. And if Detroit looks anything like this year, the game might be pretty interesting.
