They win the games where they can run the ball and limit the exposure of Geno to mistakes. If they fall behind by moire than a score and Geno has to be a factor they are done. The team now senses that Geno has the ability to implode and that is going to carry over to the receivers, the offensive lines, the running backs...and eventually the defense. The Ravens can play the Jets the same way the Steelers, Bills, and Cinci did - that is a bad sign. The Pats and Saints allowed yards on the ground - and a lot of them.
is there more than one Geno? he is always the same easily rattled, slow on reads, and occasionally lucky
Welp, here's another one of those games that we have to win to keep our playoff hopes alive. We need to drive the nail into the coffin of Baltimore's playoff hopes and win this. We probably will, based on the pattern. It doesn't even matter how good or bad the teams we play are. We will continue to alternate Wins and Losses because the algorithm is set in motion.
I wish I could buy the alternating wins and losses trend. Unfortunately the trend I see is that we suck on the road (1-4) and play well at home (4-1). The Ravens are tough at home. I don't think we get embarrassed again but I don't see us winning either.
That's what I thought about the Patriots game and the Saints game. I'm not even gonna make expectations or predictions, I just wanna watch the game.
no kidding...I wouldn't touch this game if I had House Money. The Jets are probably the most unpredictable team in the league right now...even when including the "every other" game split because they are beating teams they have no business beating and losing against teams they should beat up on. Very frustrating.
I predict the Jets will win - Jets fans will be demanding an extension for Rex, ESPN will call him coach of the year so far, fans will anoint Geno the savior... and then they will follow it up with a stinker at home vs. Miami and we'll be back to where we are today!
Of course they can. They're 4-6 for a reason. It's like people saying "Steelers and Giants can't possibly go 0-3, 0-4, etc." They're a beatable team for sure. Flacco is streaky and can turn a game with his mistakes. They do tend to play better at home though so that may not be the case come Sunday. If our team plays as good as it can, we probably win. They have had O line troubles at times which we can exploit. We'll probably have trouble covering Smith and Brown, though. Trouble is we haven't had strong showings on the road so I don't expect the win. This is a winnable game though.
