It's the same pattern in each of these losses. The run game is shut down and then is abandoned while the game spirals out of control with turnovers and short possessions. The D is consistently torched on deeper balls with no defensive adjustments. Is the coaching staff too predictable or stubborn and not able to turn the momentum in these games somehow?? Are the players just too mentally fragile to bounce back from these in game situations to turn momentum around? Can you see any reason the Baltimore game won't end up the same way? They can certainly shut a running game down for sure and that has been the formula so far to send this team reeling. I can't draw any other conclusion than to say Baltimore will blow this team out.

With smith at QB and a one dimensional offense that is run or die I don't see this game going any differently. The Ravens can play a physical defense and get after the qb. Smith will give the game away again . On defense smith and jones can both go deep. Ryan sells out to stop rice and leave his guys on islands it will be a long day in Baltimore.

If they are going to start geno he has to be able to make some plays with his arm. I just don't think has has the confidence to do that now

If the line blocks, we'll be fine. With that said, we might be in trouble.

I honestly don't have a gauge of this game. If good 'heave a Hail Mary down the field and pray for a pass interference' Flacco is out, we won't do well. If 'throw 5 INTs a game because Ray Rice has 10 yards on 40 carries' Flacco is out, we have a shot.

I think the former is slightly more likely to show up at home

The Jets are terrible. They beyond embarrass me as a fan. Inconsistency might be worse than actually sucking. So upsetting. I'll be in Baltimore, so expect a loss.

They are inconsistent. They match up well with some teams and poorly with others. The fact they are getting nothing positive out of the QB position makes it very hard for the entire team.

Baltimore is a house of horrors for the Jets. I predict the win/lose pattern gets broken next week :(

Based on their performance so far, next week should be a win week. Somehow, I just don't see that happening as the Jets don't play well against the upper echelon defenses. I'm wondering now if the D is beginning to get gassed after so many 3 and outs the offense provides them.

B'more will be another loss. Rex might want to consider taking the team to Ruth Chris' steakhouse down on the harbor the night before the game. Might as well stock up on good eats before getting our asses kicked on Sunday.

Next week against the Ravens is probably the easiest game on our schedule.

Uh maybe some of you havent seen Flacco play but WHEN not if, we shut down Ray Rice, Flacco panics to the point of hilarity. He makes awful decisions and he has to because there's no other way to win.

Besides, every time we get destroyed Rex treats the next game like the Super Bowl and all the players do good and blah blah. Bottom line is Jets will win. Also I fully expect the Dolphins to get spanked by Cam Newton and the Panthers next week so we might be enjoying that lead again. GOTTA WIN, which for some f***ed up reason I expect us to.

I wish I had your confidence...I don't think it's the every other game thing. i think it's a rookie qb on the road that just couldn't handle it. I fear the worst in Baltimore.

If what I read is true and Rex has already stated Geno is starting this game...it's a loss. The kid has lost all his confidence and is flat out making worse decisions now than earlier in the season. The "word" is out on Geno Smith. Fluster him and it's a multiple pick day. I think if you go back to the game tape the line wasn't as bad as it looked. The Bills we flooding the box and bringing extra guys to pressure him and stop the run. They KNEW he couldn't beat them with his arm. The Oline can only block so many before some get through.

I agree with other posters...the streak breaks this week...if Geno starts. If they start Simms the "unknown" factor comes into play. Good or bad there is little to no tape on Simms and kind of opens up the "fresh" factor. Who knows....I wouldn't predict this game if I had "house" money.

I expect a blowout loss again. This team is a terrible road team this year. all phases of the game crumble on the road for whatever reason...........so I'm going in expecting another 20+ loss = 31-10

This thread is exactly why I am so upset with the Jets right now. It is not the fact that the Jets are (5-5), which is average, or that they have 5 losses in general. It is the WAY they are losing. The defense showed up in New England Week 2, Geno and the offense: pathetic. Week 4 Titans game: Embarrassing blowout. Week 6 Steelers game: Looking absolutely awful at home against an 0-4 team, Week 8 at Bengals lose by 40, look like a complete mess. Then Week 11 at Buffalo, the lowest of the low, losing to a complete loser team and looking like the #32 Power Ranking was dead on.

At least compete. Make it a game. The Jets don't and it is sickening.

Well the Bills have been competitive all year, nearly beat NE, KC and Cin, beat Baltimore and lead the league in sacks and INT's. So while I get that the record and history frown upon the Bills, your team lost to a legit Def and a young offense with alot of weapons. They are still figuring it out, but against the Jets they put it together.

There is nothing wrong with losing to the Bills. The Bills lost to the Jets 27-20 and it sucked for you probably, but it was acceptable. If the Jets competed with the Bills and lost, I would be fine with it. The Bills dominated though. You can see why a Jets fan would be upset.
