and now we'll need to worry about THE BROWNS.... they have a shot of being 4-5. They do have a NE and us and the bears but still can't overlook these guys
Good working putting it all down, just want to mention the Titans conference losses don't matter since they beat us head to head which is the first tiebreaker. We tie with them, we lose the tiebreaker
I'm absolutely shocked that we're in the playoff discussion. We are a young team that makes a lot of mistakes, and we are loaded with castoffs and injuries to our skill positions. In spite of that, we play hard and have demonstrated that we can play with anyone. Full credit to Rex for coaching them up. Now can we quit the bipolar alternating win/loss B.S and win our next game please?
In my eyes the Jets are Super Bowl contenders. The only thing holding em back might be the rookie QB. No rookie QB has made the Super Bowl but someday one will so you just never know.
As of right now, we would be the 6th seed. We need to come out flying against the Dolphins after the bye. Having Santonio, Cumberland, and Winslow back bodes really well fo rour chances.
Great thread! Since we have a bye next week and we'll be watching other games, can you make a short list of who we want to win/lose?
Regarding the bold, are you insane? What we learned is that the only receivers that Geno had today who started the season with him were Hill (yuk), Powell, and Bohannon. Not much for a rookie to work with right, or did you forget this little detail.
Let's win enough games to retain the coaching staff, then acquire major offensive/DB talent in a crucial offseason with lots of cap space and picks. That's the big picture imo, we don't have enough talent for a deep run this year, but you can see that it's a well-coached team that shouldn't be completely blown up. If we can add some big time talent at WR and DB, some OL and LB depth, we will contend in the coming years.
Do you think I was giving Geno a poor grade today? I think Geno did well with what he was asked to do. But I don't know if it was a product of our run game being so effective or if it was a new game plan to limit Geno's attempts and have him function as a game manager in order to improve our odds of winning. All season long they've been letting Geno sling it around and I was assuming that it was by design to see what he's got. That's my preference because I think our #1 goal this season is to evaluate Geno.
Done: JAX @ TEN: Need the Jaguars (Impossible) CIN @ BAL: Bengals likely win DEN @ SD: Broncos prob win MIA @ TB: Bucs blew a 21-0 lead in Seattle CLE and us on bye
The point I was trying to make is that you can't have Geno slinging it just for the sake of slinging it. We need to try to win the game. If Geno was gun slinging it to today's cast of characters then there would be mistakes and TO's for sure. Today discretion was called for in spades. We've got 7 more games to continue to evaluate Geno.
I would love to win the division and get a home game, but I don't see that happening, we need to get a few Ws in a row because tiebreakers for that wild card spot are going to kill us
