Hagelin is one of the best possession players in the league. He's never going to be a goal scorer or a highly skilled player, but his ability to use his speed to create space on the ice and drive possession on a shift-by-shift basis no matter what line he's on is pretty remarkable. He's exactly the type of player that will end up in Detroit and be their 3rd line LW for the next 10 years. He's the next Dan Cleary.

when I look at the goals scored column, my dick shrinks. it's a terrible condition to have, and the rangers have had it for years, moves must be made, this team is anemic, and it's already been proven that henrik can't do it by himself for many seasons now, and if he's not playing well, forget it, they're not even a playoff team. I really would love to be dead wrong on this but if you're gonna be soft, at least score a bunch like other soft teams.
yes I have overdosed on them, and unfortunately, jonny is right. he's as right as the mail, right as the rain, and rightly so. this team blows. i'm usually not one to throw in any towels, and i'm not right now, but they do suck and are a bottom production team as it stands this morning. feels lousy matty, I hate it.
I gotta stand behind jonnys thoughts matty. a guy who doesn't back his brother, well, there just ain't much to say about him is there? the rangers need and infusion of scoring ability and some grit.
don't say grit man.....they gave up on that road when "trading" coaches. ya know they're so offesnsively talented and that Torts character stifled them....christ they would have won the cup the last 2 years if it weren't for Torts. AV's in da house, what are they averaging like 4 or 5 a game? oh no, they're not, oh and they can't play D anymore either, great. They have shown some signs of competing in the last 3 games, so maybe they can turn it a bit. Hell maybe they will outscore their season high of 3 one of these days. Still think they made a huge mistake with Torts (and again i said that from the start). Their D men, conditioning, forecheck and goaltending were the stregnths on which they accomplished anyhing the last 2 years.............why they thought that they were so offensively talented they could scrap all of that and try and open things up I'll never know. Should've just gave Torts a little "talk" after last season and have him lighten up a bit instead of canning him. His system fit the team & talent. it's a long season, hopefully they'll make me eat my words soon (oh and I don't know that Nash is any savior either..but they do need Cally back!!)
although it is dark, jonny's truth has set me free. we're all brothers here, and we're all suffering.
