ugh faurot... van dyke... mitchell... lam jones... cadigan... thomas... robertson... they all sucked but i really detest a few and they have all been in the last 10 to 13 years. herm edwards mark sanchez santonio holmes i really really cant stand these guys. herm because he was so completely full of shit and a complete and total blame shifter. fucking HATED him. mark sanchez more because rex just kept on trotting him out there. not necessarily HIS fault but i came to the point that i just wanted him to go away no matter how. and santonio because he really seems like a complete douchebag. i do not like guys who do stupid shit like the ball drop horseshit he does and i feel as though he is a real cancer in the locker room. i think this site has made me a little more critical of these 3 guys than i would have probably been if i wasnt involved here.
Cant see myself hating players due to a lack of talent ( ie McCareins) Or a player who couldnt transition to the pros (ie Gholston) Or a player who played descent but failed majorly when it mattered (O'brien) I hate players for their attitudes and the way they carry themselves on the field. That's why I HATE Holmes.... Hes the most selfish, immature, cancer Ive ever seen on the Jets. I truly believe that his actions during the Dolphin game was the huge turning point for the Jets that made Sanchez, Rex, and the Jets the laughing stock of the NFL. Before then people said we were bad, after that we became the punch line of the NFL.
Mark Gastineau. Specifically for man-handling Bernie Kosar on January 3rd, 1987. Not that I hold a grudge or anything.
Anthony Becht - for missing the TD catch against the 49ers the first game after 9-11....we would have won instead of losing plus it was my first Jets game attended.
Since I am only 17, I will base my dislike of players within the past 10 years. - Kyle Wilson - Eric Smith - Doug Brien ( I will never forget the two missed FG's against Pittsburgh )
Keyshawn for sure. I didn't have anything personally against Johnny Mitchell and Toast (Otis Smith), just hated that they were on the field and stunk so much. I probably felt more pity than disgust about Gastineau - he just looked like such an idiot with his moronic dance - but I did feel he brought the perception of the rest of the team down, which was unfair to people like Klecko, Lyons, O'Brien, McNeil, etc., so I certainly never liked him (despite whatever good he did on the field).
Gastineau. Good one-dimensional player. Couldn't stand the sack dance. Watching him whirl like he'd invented the sack while Klecko, Lyons and Salaam just went back to work.
this one is easy! carl barzalaskas , robustson, gholston, blair thomas, lam jones, bubby brister, neil o'donnell.
Can you include coaches? If so Lou Holtz is high on that list. The quitter from Carolina even today I change the channel when I see his goofy mug on the TV. Second Joe Walton he immediately cut all my favorite Jets Jerome Barkum, Greg Buttle, drafted Roger Vick, try to convert Russell Carter to CB when he was a better safety. He played one game at safety and was a beast. Of course Rick Kottite the guy who as WR coach told the GM a wide receiver couldn't get separation and wouldn't be a good pick. That WR turned out to be Jerry Rice. I needed a strait jacket after they made him head coach.
Gholston #1 Gholston never wanted him in the first place. That draft the Jets were in nowhere land. The top five was all the talent and after Gholston any player was not rated that high. That being said Gholston never got a sack in 3 years and just looked like he didn't want to be here.
Best moment for Gastineau was when Jackie Slater punched him, mark had all the talent in the world, but was a complete idiot
And as for players.... 1. Kerry Rhodes - I am shocked you guys are not naming this guy. 2. Eric Smith And honorable mention to Capt Buttfumble Sanchez and Lt Wayne Turn Style Hunter
Keyshawn (and I still have that damn Kelly Green jersey.. Thanks, dad.) Richie Kotite Paul Hackett Doug Brien Jason Taylor Tim Tebow
