Does anyone know if the NFL Network is showing a 90 min NFL Replay of this game? If so, when? Thanks......
When you find the replay watch the Jets "cheating" on Ghostkowski's 44 yard field goal attempt, just like NE did. Boohoo. For the record, you guys did the push before us, after getting away with it, they told the refs to watch for it (According to b/r). Probably the only reason they attempted the 56yd FG was to get the push-penalty called. Alert move from Ryan, but don't act like you're innocent. Edit: This isn't a bitter post, this is a "shut the fuck up about Pats "cheating"" when the only difference was we didn't get away with our push in the game. Because you guys clearly broke the rules and, if the b/r report is true, also knew very well it was a rule.
you made the kick so what's the problem? they also rarely call that OPI that they called removing a TD that would have basically sealed the game for us. They didn't call your guys who did it all game but they called our guy. The better team yesterday won the game.
isn't there someplace called Patsfags.com for that bitter arrogant frontrunner drunken chowderturd to whine and cry about getting BEAT???
The game is voer, we lost, I don't really care anymore. We're currently the #3 seed in the AFC and the Bronco's lost and would be traveling to Foxboro if the playoffs started tomorrow. I'm in a pretty good mood.
speaking of replay I have NFL rewind and the Jets-Cheats game freezes up and stops at the one hour 42 minute mark. I have called NFL.com but apparently there is no customer service that actually exists. Just wondering if anybody else has the same problem
Get back to us after you lose about 4 more games out of the next 7 and we'll see where you are in the seedings ats_suck::gpc:ats_suck::gpc:ats_suck:
In reg speed it didn't look like a penalty, the still shot looks bad but we could find a million still shots that look worse than what actually happened.
Not every penalty gets called every time, and it depends a lot on what the penalty is. The ref threw the flag immediately, so he was looking for it. All I can say is that if you use the pushing technique you run the risk of a 15 yard penalty. It's not the first time this season that that action has been committed, but it is the first time it's been called and I would expect every NFL special teams coordinator to coach their players not to do that anymore after seeing it called in this game. If the Jets were doing it too, okay, then the Jets were taking the risk that it would be called against them. It's not called 100% of the time (obviously) but to argue that it should be called 0% of the time makes no sense. There's no point in having a rule if it's never going to be enforced. If it's not going to be called 0% of the time, then you straight up have to accept that any time it's done, you're taking this calculated risk that whatever minimal advantage you get by pushing (and risking injury to the opponents' offensive linemen) is worth possibly giving up 15 yards and a first down. It was a fortunate call for the Jets, but you can't really say that the refs gave the Jets this game. They called back a Jets TD on an offensive pass interference call, after all. (On that play, the Patriots player might have looked to the referee like he'd been pushed, when he actually jumped after being lightly touched. He was trying to draw a penalty, like a European soccer player, and it worked.) It also seems very clear, based on Belichick's post-game interview that he simply failed to understand the rule. He thought that it was okay to push teammates into the line as long as you weren't lined up directly behind that teammate. He was wrong, the rule doesn't mention anything about that, and this morning he admitted that he misunderstood the rule. You can still argue "yeah but the penalty should never be enforced" but like I said, that's a very weak argument, and it cuts against the purpose of the rule which is to protect offensive linemen. The other argument is "yeah but they shouldn't call it when the game is on the line" - to which I say, there's always a risk of getting called for it, and offensive linemen can get hurt on any play, so the rules to protect them should not go out the window just because the game is on the line. Ultimately, the Patriots had plenty of chances to win, and they didn't do it. Gronk dropped a possible TD pass, and lost another possible TD pass in the sun. Tom Brady missed a bunch of open targets, particularly in the second half. The Patriots converted 1 third down and 1 fourth down, out of 13 opportunities (12 third downs and 1 fourth down) - 2 for 13 is terrible. Ceding a 20 minute advantage in time of possession is very bad. The Patriots could have stopped Geno Smith from converting on 3rd and 13, or challenged the spot of one of the Jets' other close 3rd down conversions. But they didn't. All of those things are bigger reasons for the Patriots' loss than the penalty, which even Belichick now admits was a valid call. The Jets outplayed the Patriots on Sunday by just about every metric, and the Jets clearly deserved this win.
Just FYI, the Jets would have to overtly cheat for years before anybody is going to get off the Pats cheating stuff. Goodell really destroyed you guys when he destroyed the tapes. There's no way to prove Belichik innocent at this point and all the reason in the world to assume he was guilty as charged.
