I'm going one more and stating that if the Jets can get to the bye at 5-4, I think they will finish the year 10-6. 2 MIA 1 Bills 1 Oak 1 Car Jets always have problems with Balt, and Cle looks good this year. But we could stub our toe against MIA and drop a would be win to the Browns. You never know. But I'm sticking with my optimistic prediction.
Very good point. The Jets have had some issues containing mobile QB's this season and Newton is a very mobile QB.
Cleveland's D is solid. With Weedon at QB though, that game becomes very winnable. He really has no touch on his passes when you watch their games.
I'm trying to keep expectations in check. Jets are a team in transition, there will be a lot of stops and starts during the season. I think we can beat any team remaining on the schedule and lose to any team. That's where we're at. Will be kinda surprised if we don't end up in that 7-9 win range. If we get to ten wins, that'll be really good 'cause it will likely mean Geno is well on his way to establishing himself as a legit starting quarterback.
I'm ecstatic at 4-3 right now. Without hand-picking each win from here on out, I think an 8-8 finish is a great (and very realistic) goal.
8-8? If we continue like this, we might finish 9-7 or better. Geno is making strides every week. The key to our success is a solid defense and a solid running game, both of which we have. If we limit the turnovers, we can surprise the hell out of a lot of people. Stupid mistakes have cost us so far. The Hill fumble against New England in the first matchup and the turnovers and dropped passes against Pittsburgh. We fix that, and we could be sitting at 6-1 right now. Granted, I'm not saying we should be, but I'm pointing out that these are all fixable mistakes. Things that if we had a more veteran team, wouldn't be happening. The best thing coming out of this year is the chemistry building with all of our young talent. I'm pumped for the future of this franchise.
